Sonja is a lovely young woman from Slovenia who came to Dr. Lowenstein for treatment of her chronic headache pain. She had severe debilitating headaches in the back and front of her head and traveled from Europe for occipital nerve decompression. With the improvement of her occipital neuralgia, she was left with only forehead headache pain and so had a nerve decompression of the supraorbital nerves and the supratrochlear nerves. While this provided significant improvement, she still had some central forehead pain and required a small revision surgery which involved cutting the supratrochlear nerves. Sonia now has infrequent headaches that respond to medications and these headaches no longer have a significant impact on her life!
