Wow. I am 66 years old today in 2022. I loved those days, and my heart still flies when I see Cher. Those were such wonderful days, and the memories I have are so priceless. @Susan Ellliot: A lot of the show original cast is also gone, Ted Ziegler died in 1999, Billy Van died in 2003, Freeman King in 2002. @Brian McLaughlin: True! but let's not forget that Sonny was the mastermind of their success, Even Cher had said during comments and interviews through the years that she learned a lot from ex-husband Sonny Bono. Don't remember if I saw this 1972?! Hard to believe it was an hour show, but only 35 minutes long?! 🤔 Met Cher years ago at a book signing in Santa Monica, was just like you see her on tv. Very pleasant and made jokes. I told her that it was a shame that a local radio station had changed format, as her album/CD had just been released, and would have received airplay. She agreed, and said thanks for listening to it! Later saw her in concert at Arrowhead Pond in Anaheim. What a show... 'Wild Orchid' opened, followed by 'Cyndi Laupner' and finally 'Cher'! Massive sing-a-long to her hit "Believe"! 😃🤗 Also met Chastity at her book signing in WeHo, when she had openly come out... long before she became Chaz. 🤗 As for Sonny, have visited his gravesite in Palm Springs. 😢 The headstone reads... "And the beat goes on"... It still does... Thank you Sonny & Cher for those great variety shows of the '70's, and my memories of you two! 😁

The last credits read 1972. What a statement song by two people who were politically conservative or maybe they would become the way when they possibly got mad at their child when they discovered that they were different from what Sonny and Chere thought. I hope the ex Chasity is doing okay. My mother has never excepted what I am neither, but, I don't care. in spite of their politics, I enjoyed Sonny and Cher's art . This was right before they broke up and she would become the top solo performer with hits like," half breed. Then would become a top actress, also. In films like Moon Struck. Sonny would end up being a Mayor. I remember when they were interviewing his now second widow when he died.
