Two of the greatest blues men who ever lived playing Born And Livin' With The Blues. That's Willie Dixon on bass.

The reason why most young people cannot understand or relate to the blues is because most don't really have to deal with hardship and sacrifice and they hate to admit it but they rejected because they can't connect with it because they have it too easy today and no discipline is required. Men like Sonny Terry and brownie McGhee live the Blues.

Not all hardships are the same. Our generation has been robbed of far too many things. Only children compare the suffering of people and call it wisdom.

@@NoahHailegiorgis You generation has been robbed of what things? I'm curious to know. Black people talk about and complain about how they can't learn enough about black history and it's on front of them. The Blues. Young people have the most sophisticated tech and forms of communication and yet are anti social and don't know how to communicate. KZfaq alone gives access to any knowledge they want. The only struggle young people today have is deciding what's offending them and what has made them uncomfortable today.

I'm a musician and songwriter, I always dreaming of creating this kind of masterpiece, simple thing that tells tales and touched the heart through their veins. I'm still dreaming, for 15+ years, the blues, including this song, still way ahead of it's magic, not even close to this song, but it's great to know that this is a historical fine art.

I feel my man or woman. Writing is hard!! I’m always blown away by songwriters ability to be so expressive. Drums are my language and I hope to be apart of something like this one day too!! I have faith in us 💪

I've seen Sonny and Brownie in Tulsa in a small club. My table was close enough I could talk to them between songs. They were fighting and arguing so much. I had to beg them to keep on playing. No lie GI. It was a real interesting dive into what they were like as people. Cary in Tucson

Yes, but it was British groups like The Rolling Stones, Yardbirds, etc., that embraced this music at a time when it got only very limited exposure in the US. I saw a lot of American blues artists playing in London in the ‘60s, where many had gone just to earn a decent living - Muddy Waters, Sonny Boy Williamson and a host of others. Buddy Guy will tell you that “the British saved the blues”.

I hear tell his favorite key was Bb. I purchased a Bb in a Lee Oskar a while back and then read that Sonny Terry had switched from playing Marine Band to a Lee Oskar before he died in 1986. The LO harps are not good for overblowing without modification but their airtight design makes for easy interesting draw bends and their sound projects much louder than the classic Hohner Marine Band. The Lee Oskars also have 2nd Position Key (Cross Harp) printed on the high register end of the harp.
