I just tried to update firmware via ewelink on my brand new nspanel and it is dead! System data error! Seriously? 15 years ago I build a system that was able to be updated remotely, you should have 2 images! When you update, only one of the images is replaced! If update completed successfully you just switch the active image address. Simple!!! Sonoff, helo. Need some help?

First of all: this is not an account maintained nor endorsed by eWeLink and Sonoff. This account is maintained by an eWeLink enthusiast user. Then: The error is shown is for the screen part. The screen has an own processing unit seperate from the ESP32 for driving the relays and communication to the app. So the screen has to be updated again. Just try to upgrade the NSPanel again from within the eWeLink app. If this fails you can delete the NSPanel from the eWeLink app, reboot the NSPanel by removing and reattach the power and then try to upgrade the NSPanel again. You won't see any progress untill the screen processing unit picks up its upgrade command.

Hi, there I have the same problem with failed device update and sitting with the data system error. I made several attempts to update but I did not succeed. Can you help?

What happens every time is up to 61% data recording 5111808 and stops there. And the update says that it is 8288152 size

Did you exactly try to update as in the video? Shut down the power to the NSPanel or use the reset pin at the small bottom side of the detachable display to restart the NSPanel. Wait for the NSPanel to show up online at the eWeLink app. Update the firmware again. Now hope for the best. If it keeps on failing then contact ITEAD support.

O problema com travamento da upgrade se deve à baixa velocidade de internet, “resolvi” quando mudei para o Wi-Fi compartilhado do celular, subiu a atualização e instalou . Problema Resolvido !!!

Stuck at firmware 1.3.0. Can't update with the upgrade stuck at 90%. The display shows 'System Data Error' - have done resets; removing the device from app, reset switch and even with power off. Can control the device - just that the panel is rendered useless.

Try to delete the NSPanel from the eWeLink app, reboot the NSPanel by turning the device off and on and then re-pair the NSPanel. The chances are high that upgrading will now succeed.

@@ewlcommunity ITEAD reached out to me - they gave a new version of update (1.3.6) - the update was successful but the panel is still stuck - displaying blue background with the word ‘System data ERROR!’ Have tried everything you guys suggested - from deleting the apps to restores based on discussion groups on the net - same result. I am guessing maybe just maybe it has to to do with the eWeLink app itself. (Am using iOS version 4.27). The app itself is a ‘pain’ - can’t even view the notice to support messages)

Tengo ese error después de intentar actualizar. El NSPanel esta online en la ewelink pero en los ajustes dice "actualizando". Ya van horas conectado, al lado del router y sigue igual.

@@sostenesvital1699 tienes que borrar el nspanel de la aplicación ewelink. Después te deja volver a conectar e intentar nuevamente la actualización

@@ronaldoprado2096 Hace lo que puse mas arriba. Borra el NSPanel de la app. Cuando lo vuelvas a conectar te vuelve a dar la opción para actualizar

The button for upgrade again shows that is already upgraded... Can't do that again... The app works but the screen still shows the system data error.

@@LucasKatayamaEu instalei uma versão mais antiga que mostra a barra de progresso e ela trava em 90% e não sai dali, já tentei contato com a Sonoff estou agaurdando um retorno deles.. :/

@@caiogrigoleto Cara aki foi hein... Troquei o celular... Tava usando um iPhone com akela versao beta... Peguei um outro mais antigo .... nem restartei nem nada soh loguei no app eWeLink e apareceu pra instalar a versao 1.4.0... e foi ... demorou bem mais...ficou travado nos 4% ... depois de uns 10 min... foi

Se non risolvete il SERIO problema per i possessori di CH4 in cui le utenze sono identificata come OUTLET 1 2 3.... chiederò il rimborso del mio NS Panel comprato su amazon, non esiste che un device simile abbia questo grosso problema ancora non risolto, ho la versione 1.1.1. del firmware, che ad oggi mi pare l'ultima uscita. If you do not solve the SERIOUS problem for CH4 owners in which the user device are identified as OUTLET 1 2 3 .... I will ask for the refund of my NS Panel bought on amazon, there is no such device that has this big problem still not solved , I have version 1.1.1. firmware, which to date seems to me the latest release.

First of all: This is a community account maintained by enthusiasts. This account is not maintained nor monitored by Sonoff and eWeLink. Second: Although I didn't test it myself yet the issue you described should be solved in firmware 1.2.0 which is being rollout un a staged way. Be patient and check for updates from time to time.
