I have the HomePod 2nd gen and HomePod mini. I’m enjoying the apple ecosystem. The sound it amazing from both. HomePod 2nd gen is room filling and sound I can feel. I like Siri but hope it gets better with software updates.

I've got a homepod mini and an era 100 and the era 100 is SO much clearer and more room filling but that makes sense considering its size and price. My 2 era 300's as rears make my tv setup insane and the atmos stuff is so cool

Great comparison! I said they okay for music and spectacular when it comes as surrounds with the arc and the sub or two in my case. They might have been intended mostly for music but really shines as surrounds for movies . All those inside speakers and weird looking designs give you and incredible immerse atmos experience.

The Arc + Sub + 2 Era 300s for surround setup is truly immersive. I’ve demoed many different atmos movie scenes and I’ve been impressed. I would tell anyone these are now the go to speakers for surrounds.

Apple TV ARC with 6 HomePod (playing simultaneously) shakes my entire apartment and my neighbors above me. They do not like me at all 😅

Hi @@perumalraja6765 , I do not have any Sonos. I only have an Apple TV 4K which connected to 6 HomePods but As long as your Sonos are airplay compatible, you should be able to use your phone to connect those other devices. On the Apple TV remote, press & hold on the TV icon to connect all your airplay enable device including your Sonos or the device that is use in the video above.

You nailed it, every other review called about the Amazing spatial audio, I got ERA 300 and on a single speaker, I could barely notice the difference,.

Have the homepod 2 but thinking of a pair era 300 to connect with my beam 2 and sub mini. What’s your opinion?

I’d still go for a pair of HomePods for my needs, I just want 2 channel for the TV and then streaming music. The ERA don’t do the 2 channel setup, so using ERA 300’s your using them in a already expensive Sonos setup, a pair of these seem expensive at £900 just to be used as rear speakers is a surround setup

I am considering buying the era 300 as you can build a true surround set up using the Era as rear speakers and because I might do Atmos better than the HomePods when used in a Stereo Pair as I am doing with my OG HomePod. The main reason why I am considering the Era 300 is the fact that I can use them as rear speaker If I want to improve the Atmos Experience. Something that can't be done with HomePods as well.

Great video. To connect to a TV, does Sonos works via HDMI eARC through an Apple TV when connected via airplay? If so, I'd assume at least a single Sonos can be used as a TV speaker.

I just purchased the 2nd gen homepod. Never owned the mini or the 1st gen. I paid $250 for my homepod from best buy brand new and i only use it to listen to music and love it so far.

Price is the only thing the HomePod wins, considering this and commodity it’s a good buy, but sound-wise it’s not even close, the Era 300 is miles ahead

I’m interested in upgrading sound on my TV. I have a 4k generation Apple TV. Which speaker has better dialogue. That’s the problem we have with our current system - it’s difficult to make out a lot of the time.

Good video! At the moment after moving house I still have my Arc and also a pair of HomePods, not sure which way to go. Should I sell the HomePods for a pair of 300s or sell the Arc and go with AppleTV? Would I see a big difference if I went with the 300s or do I buy a pair of 100s. Decision has to be made soon 🤔

Sell the arc, buy an Apple TV and you’ll have the perfect setup for music as well as for movies. Stereo HomePods are excellent !!

I have the Arc + Sub + 2 Era 300s for rears and it’s truly amazing. I’m a Apple fanboy, but I don’t think a pair of HomePods can compare to the Sonos system. Plus playing atmos music would also blow away the HomePods in this setting

If you can afford two 300s then there is no contest, not even close, this setup is much much much better than two HomePods.

The seperation begins with the intercom, Siri, and ease of use for the HomePods. And tap your iPhone to the HomePod and it plays music from your iPhone super fast. And it does 5.1, 7.1 and Dolby Atmos for streaming shows and movies 🎥at home. The sound and bass is very good. And I know Apple takes great pride in their acoustic team delivering great sound for shows and movies considering Apple TV team already is making big plans into movie theaters and making movies anyways. Great video but Siri and the smarts the HomePods bring was missing and to me is more favorable to me than the Sonos speakers.

for music I am not sure if I like the Era300 sound signature. IMHO it has a bathroom muffled sound effect, which I am not a fan of. For traditional music listening, I do like the sound signature of the HomePod better, but for the surround dolby atmos set up, there is no doubt, era300 all the way.

HomePods sound far more richer and elegant...and a pair of them are just beautiful sound...best ever for price...no contest...they can review all they want but truth is Apple has done an amazing job of sound...but a pair is the only way to go.

Cool video…now let’s talk about how all my shortcuts are failing with iOS 16.4. Great for a couple days, but now everything I run is failing for unknown reasons….WHY! Lol I hate Apple of today I miss Apple of “it just works”.

I dont know why they keep comparing the era 300 to the home pod there is no comparison era 300 eats the home pod any day you can use it as ht system and you can use it with android no comparison

Sonos: goofy looking, way too expensive. All the music I listen to was recorded in stereo so Atmos and Spactial audio is not important to me. For a home theater I prefer a full surround a sound system like Marantz with Klipsch towers, not some plastic speakers. HomePod is also too expensive but very good looking option for Apple users looking for good sounding small speakers.

HomePod 1/2 sounds way too good man! In my opinion it’s better than any system fo a good pair of speakers for music and movie watching. And the recent update just made dolby atmos content even better on these

@@Anonyme09865 I’m sure it’s good, but it’s not going to be as immersive versus the Arc + Sub + 2 Era 300s as rears. But than again you have to pay over $2500 for that setup.

@@xguy9999 bro forget about arc, just beam g2 + 2 ones as rear would be better than two HomePods, actual physical rears would always be better than two front speakers with movies no mattar how magical they sound. Plus the dialog is much much clearer with beam g2 pulse it has speech enhance and the EQ when watching at night and don’t want to disturb others. Plus you can always add sub mini to complete the system. I love the HomePods the sound is great but will always fall behind with a complete home cinema system. And you will always be stack with two speakers that will not give you the flexibility to add more speakers or sub.

@@gromenteal2133 Indeed, the Beam Gen. 2 already is an awesome soundbar. Vocal clarity is even better than with the Arc.
