So whenever a company puts the word “Mini” in their product name, like the iPad Mini or the long gone iPhone Mini, it usually means a mini-sized version or a lower spec version compared to the bigger siblings, but the Sonos Sub Mini though, while it is smaller in size compared to the Sonos Sub, but it is BIG in sound, so here is my review after using this after a month.

Great review. I have the beam gen 2 and just brought the sub mini. I had low expectations at first as seen a few underwhelming reviews. I've got a small to medium size living room and I love bass in general. After adjusting the settings and experimenting by turning the bass to max can confirm it is plenty powerful enough for my room (and much more). Maybe even too powerfull on high settings if the neighbours are in 😂 I made the mistake at first of just adjusting the bass of the soundbar on the app but when I discovered you can separately adjust the bass of the sub that's when I realised the potential of this machine. 100% worth it for me 👍

I paired mine with the Arc and it made everything sound soo much better. That 25hz low end that the Arc cannot reach really enhanced everything from movies to music. Very happy with it!

Hi, could you share how large your living room is / how far you sit away from the tv ? I’m going back and forth between the arc with sub mini or getting the beam with it

@@brkfstinbed my living room is about 16ft x 10ft and sit 7-8 feet from the soundbar. The Beam is what sold me with deciding to go with Sonos over Bose. The clarity is amazing and the simulated Atmos effects were jaw dropping when I heard it at the store. Amazed how the helicopter sound was coming from all around circling my head and it even has better clearer dialogue in my opinion then the Arc. The Arc has a wider sound stage and better lows but if you get a sub mini that makes up for it. I originally purchased both from Best Buy and did a bunch of testing. I must admit the Arc was a bit of an over kill in my listening situation as I don't tend to listen to movies loud enough to have the Arc flex it's muscle. The Beam would've suited me well enough as it gets real loud and then some. If I can do it over again I would've stayed with the Beam and invested the extra dough for Era 100's. Having rears is a must when listening to music and getting those extra dynamic effects in movies.

Thank you. You are only video clearly lists which products sub min can connect. All I hear it’s great with beam etc but no one dare say the old Sonos play bar which I still have.

Hey Adam! Great video again. I got the Samsung Q series soundbar as it sounded the best for my room and I really like it. This Sonia mini looks comparable to the bigger subwoofers and that has really got me confused as now we have got really good mini speakers and some disappointing large speakers that sound the same so it’s like if you want a good small sub woofer it will sound the same as a lower end large one and it will be around the same price. Looks wise, this one wins any day and so it makes me wonder that if for most people this is enough and it looks good at a lower price the market is just very confusing right now. Anyways Adam, have a great week ahead and I’ll see you soon! If I can make a recommendation can you do a comparison of smartwatches? Like series 7 Apple Watch verses current line up or something. Again, amazing review!

Hey brother Hasan, welcome back my friend! Oh? What do you mean by disappointing large speakers bro? Which ones are you referring to? I humbly feel it’s not confusing as its quite a no brainer to get if you have a smaller space living room and already have a Soundbar, then there is of course many other additional features like Wi-Fi streaming and etc which makes it easier to complement and start the Sonos ecosystem 😃 As usual I appreciate your amazing content and and thanks for your on the comparison my friend, will look into it buddy 🙂

I have the beam Gen 2 and 2 symfonysk as a surround. Will I be able to add it to this system? Or would I lose the the symfonisk?

Yes you are able to use it with your existing surround system, but pairing two sub mini’s cannot be done unlike the sub gen 3, but I feel that two subs may be over kill for a small room lol
