Im going to add that water in this game in certain areas on the beach spawn will cause your game to crash. The underwater respawn will always crash the game as well. The way to fix this is by turning off Anisotropic Textures and Water to low and turn off SSR. Otherwise, non of this did anything for me specifically. Would nice if you said what the launch options were actually doing.

Looks like the single line he wrote in launch options just tells the game to run in Fullscreen exclusive mode. (as opposed to Windowed, or Fullscreen Windowed)

i test on 3 pcs (sometimes a steam deck too) i RECORD footage on the highend machine as 4K in desktop and gameplay segments shown in the video are just so clean compared to 1080p/1440p upscaled to 2160p :) pc 1: 5800X3D, RTX 3080ti (4k) pc 2: Ryzen 5600, RX 6600 laptop: i5 10200h (quad core) , RTX 3050m

For me is very weird... if I apply ultra settings in 2K or 4k I have 70-80 FPS.... If I go down on settings i have 75-85 fps... So no major difference... No matter what I do i can't rich 120 fps 🙄 Rtx 3080TI/4080

I thoroughly enjoy the quick and easy step by step guide and explanation on the fps boost it definitely increased a bit on my end... The only thing I've noticed (probably because I messed with settings so I'm fixated on it now xD) but there seems to be a bit more pop in now with certain textures and things like rocks and sticks even little pinecones on the ground... Any suggestions on what could be casing that? Big thanks in advance...

Real quick just to get this out there. I am not expert in this subject but I will list my experience for those of us running us running windows 11 or are thinking about upgrading. The performance you get out of windows 10 is just marginally better than anything of the sort on windows 11. I am a happy owner of an asus zephrus g14 with a 5900Hs CPU and a RTX 3060 Mobile 6GB VRAM and it's a great machine yet other systems with lower end specs seem to out perform it simply due to them running windows 10, these all being laptops, I'm very aware performance varies between mobile components when being compared to their desktop counterparts. So from my experience if you want the best performance downgrading or sticking with windows 10 is your best bet out there. Why? Specifically because windows 10 is an operating system that has been around for much longer and most bugs that will affect performance have been address or fixed either by the community, game developers, or even Microsoft itself. That's all I got to say thanks.

Unfortunately windows 10 is being abandoned soon. I think Microsoft is going to stop selling windows 10 keys shortly, if they haven't already. And I think they said by 2024 or 2025, they will no longer support windows 10. I tried windows 11 and downgraded back to 10 almost immediately. Hopefully they fix it soon.

Dude you saved my day, 28 ~ 39 FPS (BEFORE) and 65 ~ 97 FPS(AFTER), but the crucial config was disabling full screen optimizations, i dont know why it happens but i had the same issue years ago with far cry 4. I personally have a 4k screen, but run the game in 1080, using losless scaling (app on steam) to run the game at 4k fullscreen using "A.I" upscaling. Works wonders. I sometimes get 165fps with a 3060 (sometimes, like in a cave). Overall, it's 90-120fps playing normally (without following this guide). I will compare with what is shown here for sure! Thank you

@@DoomSlayer-lk9nt He's probably lying. I have an RX 6800XT + R9 5900X and I get ~55FPS 1440p ultra. The game is made on Unity engine so changes in resolution and graphics quality barely makes any difference as my GPU usage is stuck at 78 and doesn't even budge above it. This game is ass.

@Panjno yeah that's what I meant, I set the refresh rate to 40, and I did lower the tpd some. I had no power the day SOTF released and the following 2 days so I was desperately trying to use my deck, but the battery would drain so quickly it was nearly impossible 😔 We're you able to test it? Not remote play, but a direct install to the deck by chance?

My friend wants to play but he only has a gt730 and it runs so bad, can you give any tip for a solution at least 24-30 fps he doesn't care much about the quality but it will be nice to have a good quality.

gt 730 is very outdated. Try lowering the resolution, setting all settings to low, using dynamic resolution, and set the games priority to high by opening the task manager on the windows home screen with the game running in the background, finding the game, right clicking it, click on details, find it again, right click, set priority -> high

i have an issue with this game that overtime i go from 1440p 90~ fps high settings to very low settings 1080p 40 fps in a matter of an hour. ive played very demanding games for 5 hours on end without a performance hit at all, let alone it being such a huge hit. wondering if anyone else has this issue? my gpu never went over 60 degrees so it wasnt a thermal problem.

If your not changing the settings of the game. Its definitely a thermal issue. You might have a broken gpu sensor because it seems to be thermal throttling.

@@jjtreads5472 I kinda fixed it, I changed my game to the lowest settings that day because it was going below 70 fps and for some reason the game runs significantly worse in 1080p low rather than ultra 1440p and i just thought something wrong was going on with my card. Kinda strange, but my gpu was heating up more in 1080p. I don't really get it but just gonna stick with 1440p because that's working for me lmao.

i always thought it was my gpu but i think it may be other parts i have a 1660 super but i have another pc that has a 1650 but runs games a ton better

Currently playing on the lowest possible settings with a 2060(laptop) and a i7-9750h. I am getting anywhere from 2-23 fps with constant crashing. Is it the game, My hardware, or something else?

this full screen trick doesn't work. You can check this by pressing the Windows button. The start menu is overlaid on top of the game. this means that the game still runs in borderless window mode. in real full-screen mode, clicking on Windows minimizes the game.

unfortunately this only gave me about 5 fps, I have a Ryzen 9 5900x and a 3080ti and can still only get 50 fps, I have no clue how you're getting 100

I'm a little confused with the Vsync part, hoping someone can help me out... So I turned on Vsync in both the AMD Radeon app, and my monitor. Now for IN-GAME settings, did I hear that we're supposed to DISABLE this in-game? Or do we enable it at the highest/lowest Hz (as appropriate)?

I did everything in this video and still only get around 45-55 fps at 1440p in my base. At other places I can get up to 80fps. This is with a Nvidia RTX 4070 Super, AMD Ryzen 9 3900X

Did everything from your video, didnt change anything, except that exclusive fullscreen makes it even worse. Changing graphics settings from all ultra to all low gets me not even 10fps more. Rtx 3080, Ryzen 5900x, playing at 1440p.
