Yeah, I got that too: lifelike quality. The music just came out without hesitation, almost like a horn loaded speaker type. Pretty cool. The midrange was mind melting for me. The treble was extended but not harsh, it made me dizzy of how much sonic information I miss from listening to much, much warmer speakers with more of a rolled off treble. Hard decision on what to get for me: Lumina V, KLH Model 5, Martin Logan Motion 60xti. Cheers.

Ah, you got them? I just demoed the Lumina III but I'm looking at the Lumina V. I am coming from loving the Klipsch Forte IV, and I have to say, the Lumina's are more similar to a "horn" loaded speaker than not, which is fine by me. They weren't bright just a bit more detailed on top then what I am use to, which was fine too. Even the Forte's weren't as detailed on top, in fact, they are more laid back, a bit more warmer, but they have a metal tweeter that gives it some zip. Yeah. It's a hard decision between the Lumina V, the Martin Logan Motion 60XTi, or the KLH Model 5.

Let us know how you've compared the Lumina to the Sonetto V

I had the venere 3.0. It was a beautiful speaker but it made everything sound beautiful. I loved piano on it more than any speaker. It had some bad cabinet resonance. The lumina is a totally different speaker. It’s more neutral, a little more energy and more forward. While I don’t notice as bad of cabinet resonance I notice the lumina has some nasty resonance up top that is his well but it’s there.

I’ve listened to both and walked away with the Sonus Faber’s. It’s a fantastic speaker and I’m driving with a powered Blue Node. Use it for TV and music listening.

@@evolunchbox sweet, so far from the KZfaq videos I’ve listened to, there is a “hiss” with the tweeters that seems to be consistent in every video, wish I could listen live but I’d have to drive about 6 hours to do so🤔🤔

@Baba Ganush yeah I listen to everything and open to new music, I just don’t want harsh sounds that make you cringe, I’ve listened to the B & W 704 S2’s and they were too bright and harsh, even the 603 towers sounded better🤔🤔

Lumina V

@@evolunchbox How are they w/ movies? I am considering the Lumina 5. Very open sound. Highs are there but never hard on the ears. The midrange is super.

Depends on where you are sitting, what type of speakers, room, etc. From what I understand it is about Experimenting For Yourself. Make SMALL adjustments: away or near to the wall, angled in or out from your listening position, etc. Small adjustments mean an inch or less of tweaking. Best to have a friend do the tweaking while you listen for a center image, etc. There is even a math formula you can do to help you.
