Is the Sony GMaster 16-35mm worth its price? Today we compare it to equal primes in its focal range to see if its a worthwhile investment. Sneak Peak, its worth every penny.

I am surprised! The bokeh is beautiful for 2.8

I just picked up the 16-35 GM and have been playing around with it for about a month, I agree with everything you said! I bought it to replace the f/4 version mostly because I found it to not be versatile for quality after 24. We have the Tamron 17-28 at work and it’s a great lens but weird focal length. So far, very pleased with the GM - so much so, that I’m thinking about selling my Sigma 35 1.4 and using it for all 35 portraits.

Thanks for this review. I've been contemplating whether to purchase Sony's 16-35 mm vs the 35mm prime. Decision made! Time to dig up a deal on the 16-35 mm.

Sony 16-45 F4 PZ and the 20mm F1.8 would be the only practical answer if vlogging is your go to.

Just got the 16-35G PZ. Quite a perfect pairing with the ZV-E1. Super tempted by the new GMii but, honestly been very happy with this G lens and it’s size and sharpness.

are you using a gimbal or catalyst browse for 16 35?

CB, always find Gimbals too big but I might try that new M3

Bro...i m planning to create kids channel..before 1 had buy nifty 50, but i found it is no suitable bcause the distance within the camera and kids are too far away... I m thinking of 16mm or 20 mm..but before i buy can u pls advice me...i want the economic price, can shot in close range in the indoor with low ligt with great blurry background..request yr advice and suggestion sir

For your case, especially with kids, indoors, low light, a f2.8 zoom would probably be best. The Tamron 17-28 is easily the best budget option that’ll give you the most versatility without spending a huge amount.

What camera did you use for this video?
@TechGearz_Levi2 жыл бұрын
I use my A7C more for daily and walk-around. I use my A7iv more in "studio" and for any gigs.

@@TechGearz_Levi thanks for your answer:) And did you stabilize the footage in catalyst browse? I mean A7C:)

When you vlog are you in auto ISO?
@TechGearz_Levi Жыл бұрын
Generally yes. I’ll keep it on Aperture Priority so the camera will automatically adjust the Shutter and I’ll have auto ISO. If it’s bright I’ll set compensation to maybe +.7 and if it’s dark I usually set it to -1 EV. So that camera isn’t pushing too much

@@TechGearz_Levi thanks! So you don't use any ND filters 🤔 just curious cause most of the time I'm in shutter priority but I may have to try it your way 👍thx!

Is that 14mm, f4 or f2.8...

I used my 12-24 GM 2.8 to replicate the 14mm prime focal view.

I still really loves the 20mm. Always cringe when I have the opportunity to get one but I tel myself no because I have other lenses. But truly a great lens

I’d love to have this lens for free, but it’s not that useful for what I do lol
