This is the 2nd video from our trip down to Sony's European HQ for our podcast.
We weren't planning on shooting anything like this when we arrived but when we saw the size and quality of this 220 inch video wall we had to have the guys at Sony give us a demonstration and walkthrough - this is the largest screen in any of their European offices and it's absolutely insane 🔥

The contrast is same, but much much much brighter with full screen brightness up to 1300nits (C Series) and 1700nits (B Series)

What's really great about this is that although the CRYSTAL LED is currently targeted towards commercial clients the day will eventually come when this exact same product offering moves down-market and a version of it is offered to retail buyers. You'll one day soon in the not too far off future walk into your local electronics store and be able to purchase the panels that make up this wall. You'll be able to have a video wall inside your home where you can start with just one panel and then expand the size of your display later as your budget permits. The days of replacing your smaller TV with a new bigger one like we are so used to doing now may just be coming to an end. Soon, all you'll need to do to go bigger is simply add more panels to your home video wall. How much fun will that be? (Hint: several multi-millionaires out there are already setting these up in their homes now today!)

If you search for Sony Video wall it’s probably the best way as there’s loads of different variations and suppliers

Why is no one talking about the speakers? What type of sound setup does Sony offer for this? There is also no mention of how to connect anything to it. I know that this system has some sort of controlling device, but there is no mention of that either. It's nice that the screen size is 220 inches, but give us more information about the complete setup!

Hi there, These video walls are typically used for commercial purposes, sound the sound system is extremely bespoke to each use case. Also, at the time of filming we had limited access to the product specs regarding control/inputs etc there should be details released online by now, as the product has started to be sold publicly

wouldn't a 220 inch 4k TV be very very grainy?? The pixels would be huge compared to my 48 inch 4k at home. Shouldn't a screen that big be a 12k??? around 8 million pixels but they must be about 20 times the size. I guess the idea is that you're farther from the screen so you can't notice, but if you stood closer to it, it would probably look terrible.

hey jonathan, yeah hear what you are saying, these are typically used for commercial purposes, so very rare that people are up close and personal with them, hope that helps mate

12K ? Brother IMAX 500 plus inch runs in 7K approximately, you don't know what you talking about , nice video guys .

Also, 12K would not make any sense, since the content itself only goes up to 4K, unless you have a cinema tool that have files that can pass 4K, but in none of these cases you get even close to 12K, you can get as far as 7 to 8 K at best. The image will be upscaled anyways, even if you had 12K, since for 220 inch the ideal ''dream resolution'' probably would be around 16K more or less i guess.
