I don't understand why nobody talk about the equivalence between the aperture. F1.4 is equivalent to 2.1 in full frame while F1.8 to 2.7. It's more comprehensive that Sigma is better in low light. And have more bokeh. But to me seems like everybody do the equivalence only about the focal length and not the aperture

How is the equivalent in full frame relevant in this situation ! Is it because of how much light it can capture or because of how much bokeh it can create? Thanks

Actually you should only convert aperture when it come to boke, for light into the sensor it's the same for apsc and ff (cause it's physic metric)

@@zakariadjm5895 basically if you have a 56 1.4 apsc lens it produce the bokeh of a 56 1.4 full frame. So when you apply the crop of 1.5x it became an 85 1.4. But if you compare to an 85 1.4 full frame lens you don't have the same amount of bokeh. Because one lens it 56 cropped and the other 85

The Sigma 56mm f/1.4 is a beast! I think there is no lens (with similar specs) that can compete with this one. It creates super sharp images and is affordable. I bought it for 400€.

Yes , was considered both this senses, get Sigma 56mm and so happy. Thank you for side by side comparison. Do you using often manual sharpness or rely on AUTO ? Anyway, for movie and general landscaping using Sony 15mm F1,4. It is king (my opinion) highest quality lens .

It depends on what I'm doing, most of the time I use auto focus, but sometimes I do use manual focus for certain situations.

is the difference in stability noticiable with a a6600 (with ibis)? im thinking between the two but since i have ibis might aswell get the fastest one

It does make a slight difference having OSS as well. But the Sigma is a Great lens, and I do prefer it!

what is the difference between the Sony FE 50mm F1.8 Standard Lens and this one the Sony E 50mm F1.8 OSS?

FE is for the full frame cameras, while the E is designed for Sony's APSC cameras. The FE will still work on the APSC and the E will still work on the full frame camera's but with a crop. Thanks for watching.

If your Camera has some kind of stabilization than you'll be fine with the Sigma. Or if you will be using it on a tripod of gimbal. The Sigma is a really great lens for photography, I highly recommend it! Thanks for watching, I appreciate it!
