The irony is the 12mp sii was still worse in low light than the 24 mp a7iii. As long as they stack or use bsi tech then the mp doesn't matter, the lowlight will still be better than you need.

They will either keep the 12Mpx for 4K OR they will boost the megapixel count to about 20 something to shoot 6K. Hope the 8K rumors aren't true though, I would hate to trade super low light performances for useless 8K video.

I'm stuck at 24MP with the A73. Mega pixels don't really matter if you cannot get the sharpness going w/ the right lens. Pano merging is totally the way to go to keep everything sharp in the middle.

YES!! FINALLY, there's enough detail to count EVERY imperfection, every hair out of place, every zit, and every pore on everyone's face I take a picture of! {As long as the person isn't moving, and the tripod is still, and there's no other movement, and the shutter speed is super fast, and...WHAT, NO 4k, 60FPS VIDEO?? Sony...How DARE YOU! ...and for > $3000! UGH...PASS!! {Great video review, though, Kai!}

I used to curse having to edit 50MP files from my 5Ds! Some impressive features on this, especially eye AF in video mode but I think I'll be sticking to my A7III and not having to upgrade my MacBook and hard drives haha!

@@leecason9468 you only take a 1000 photos a wedding?... man I must be overshooting! lol I average 2500 a wedding with two bodies. Having two 61mp bodies would be insaaaaaane with 2500 photos. You'd probably need a new harddrive per job at that point lol

This makes me wonder how the A9ii will be. They basically covered all the issues on the A7Riii somehow and that was a really good camera as is. Also I wish you did a low light test.... Im wondering how it will do with noise

Just sold my entry level mirrorless to upgrade to this. Started with 2 years on the canon EOS RP. Didn't know a thing about photography and wanted to learn. This whole time all of my friends have been on sony, and even with the exact same settings, same shot, literally hanging out together, the sony shots just looked so crisp. I've conformed. I actually understand cameras now and know what i'm looking for, and it seems sony knows what I want in a rig. hahaha im stoked!

@@brugj03 more MP doesnt make a "better" image, a sharper image capable of bigger enlarges yes but not necessarily a "better"image. Your comment about Nikon and Canon be one museum pieces is pathetic

yourleftnut1 well said. Canon and Nikon’s awesome lens lineup will let you take the best out of focus shot a camera possibly can make. Meanwhile Sony prefers to....focus, on the important things eh? Pun intended.

I gladly take it! For what I’m doing dslr are perfects and I don‘t need all the fancy mirrorless stuff. Can’t wait to get the old pro dslr stuff when everybody is switching to mirrorless.

Hello Kai its amazing video that shows everything about new A7r4 i love it. but i have one quick question. when you use your A6400 to shoot this video what PP did u use for it because this color and everything looks fantastic
