@@SBlake well, i think you should, even if the m50 is a newer camera and has 4k capability as well, its still an entry level and only a crop sensor camera, which upgrading to a 42mp and a full frame camera is a HUGE deal imo

@@gianniche hmm,not really in either of my models..i do prefer the image out of the R2,simply because its sharper and in my opinion the colors look really great,especially with my Voigtlander lens.

It's strange, but a lot of so-called crop sensor zooms actually cover the full frame perfectly well, so don't switch your A7RII into APSc until you see what FF gives you.

Are you new to the photography world? If so try apsc cameras but a7r2 is at a great price but lens are still expensive

The thing is that with the A7RII you can crop and crop and crop and still have more megapixels than an A7lll had to start with. For me, that's a huge plus, and if I shoot in the APSc mode, it's still a respectable 18 mp sensor.

@@tomrhardwick how about low light capabilities of A7RII..? Bcoz too many pixels spoil it... If it can deliver respectable low light performance a7RII is perfect for me... I don't need great video capabilities, How do you see xt4 as a alternative..?

@@atulatulatul1 Depends what you compare it with. I came to the A7RII from a Canon 60D, and both cameras have the same pixel density on their sensors, ie both are 18 mp. But the Sony sensor was streets ahead of the competition back then, and is still very impressive today. I have no low light fears at all, as the ISO range is so good. Even today I don't feel you can compare a 4 year old FF with a brand new APSc model. It takes much more than 4 years of technology to make up for the fact that the APSc sensor is a little over ⅓ the surface area of the FF sensor.

Yes it's true, I've hear good things about the A7III but I don't think will be as good as the 42 megapixels. I Would suggest to rent it for a few days and give it a go

Hi Bas Visuals! I’m thinking making the same step. How’s the a7rii compared to the a6300(autofocus, video)?

@@capturesbydani809 sorry for the late reply but definitely to me the pros outweigh the cons, the autofocus is slightly worse than the a6300 since the a7rii was made in 2015 rather than 2016, but it being a Sony it is still a reliable autofocus system that I haven’t had issues with. I personally don’t use slow motion but on the a7rii it’s 120fps at 720p while the a6300 is 120fps at 1080p, both are capable of 1080p 60fps and 4k 30fps. But my goodness just going to full frame makes a world of a difference in terms of quality ESPECIALLY with the megapixel bump to 42mp. I absolutely love the a7rii even in 2021 and the battery grip design on the full sonys are a lot better than the a6xxx ones. @@aronwilliams6177 if your comparing it to the a6400 yes in terms of photo specs its better, but I think the video would be better on the a6400, now I'm kinda confused if u have an a7iii or not but I would keep it if I were you for good all round use. If money is an issue then sure sell the a7iii and get the a7rii and use that extra money for a lense. I personally only use tye Sigma 35mm 1.4 and Tamron 17-28 right now both are great!

it is if you plan on printing photos or you just need high quality jpegs video wise the x-t3 excels and has newer features and multiple video formats the sharpest video out of this camera is the cropped 4k which should be substantially better on the x-t3 mind you it’s 30FPS the x-t3 can do 4k 60fps

Did you get the a7rii ? It's on sale now for 1197. Very very tempting. I was looking for a camera for street photography

Honestly I think the images from the A7RII are amazing, still haven't found another camera that I am impressed with and especially for that price.
