Great purchase at that 77 size. Have a 55 A80K and a 65 A95L. 77 inch to 83 A80L for the size and money sounds fantastic. My use case very similar to yours. Football fantastic on both tvs and gaming. PS5. And no noticeable dimming on either. Robert is right about not wanting to leave the house 🤣. With the A95. Felt same way with A80K too.

@@zr1cvette Last year when the A80k came out I decided time go with the 77 inch C2 which I also love but the A80L is just a step above. I hope you are enjoying the A95L that is my dream tv but I couldn’t justify the hefty price tag lol.. im hoping in the next 3 or 4 years when I upgrade again that Sony has QD-Oled for their mid series OLED’s. With my A80L I don’t want to leave the house I even went out and bought a theater style reclining sectional that will be here in a couple days to go along with my A80L.

Finally pulled the trigger and got the 77” A80L from Costco that came with the 3 year Allstate warranty (for free) and backlit remote control. Literally sitting in its box as I impatiently wait for our new entertainment center to come so we can gauge if the current mounting position is adequate or if it needs to be shifted up a tad bit as our new entertainment center is a good 6 inches taller than the existing one

Having a crisis: Need a 75 or 77 inch tv. I game on my tv, want extremely low input lag and response time, I have 3 large windows with 2 more in the kitchen area (open floor plan), am terrified of burn in with KZfaq red bar or video game HUDs if I game all weekend, and though my chair is centered my couches are at a 50-60 degree view angle. The S90C would handle the viewing angles much better and have low input lag, but the QN90C or QN95C would handle the windows with a nice bright picture and eliminate burn in. Help???

@@Cons2911 Not OP but still sharing my choice. I am going for 75X90L this coming Wednesday most probably. Have seen many demos so far and though OLED is better in side by side comparison and maybe result in better picture quality experience but that was noticeable primarily into dark or dull scenes mostly, else X90L was also equally good and detailed enough as A80L in bright scenes but at home you're going to have one TV whichever you buy and while watching content you're not going to notice if you're missing anything unless you're still not convinced that it's good whatever you finalized and still looking for its flaws. And I read it in comments only by someone that screen size difference you're going to experience and enjoy in every scene while better quality of OLED image is applicable to only certain content and scenes and I also felt that it's relevant. Plus I am moving from a 50" LED TV to 75" FALD so I am getting an improvement only and it's Sony this time so expecting it to be a sizeable improvement. And I also noticed that while watching movies or series, I am not noticing the details and rather enjoying the story unless it's a very low quality content and I hope that's the case with everyone. So unless I can buy 77" OLED which is almost 70-80% more here in India still (which I hope I could have afford), 75" X90L seems to be a good choice price to performance ratio wise. And to keep myself happy and convinced in favor of X90L, I won't be worried about Burn in if it still exists.

@@Cons2911 Not OP but still replying as I am going for 75X90L coming Wednesday. Earlier I had 65A80L in my mind but once I thought about bigger screen size and the experience it might provide, I couldn't leave that imagination behind. I have seen many demos so far and though OLED performs better than FALD in dark or low brightness scenes when compared side by side but X90L was equally good in brighter scenes and A80L sometimes looked dim and dull in bright scenes thought it might not feel that way in a light controlled room. Someone in comments only mentioned that you will experience bigger screen in every scene however better quality of OLED will extend its technological benefit to some scenes only and I somehow agree with that. I would have loved to go for 77" OLED only if I could afford but here in India, prices of that are almost 70-80% higher than 65" and haven't came down much like smaller sizes. And at home you won't realise the difference when you don't have anything else to compare to unless you're intentionally looking for flaws as I noticed I am not noticing details and all while watching movies and series and rather enjoying the story unless it's a low or bad quality content. And I am anyway moving from a 50" LED to 75" FALD that too Sony so I hope it's a big jump anyway. And just to convince my mind, I won't have to be bothered about Burn in too if it still exists...😛

For me I'm looking at going from 9ft 65inch C1 to same 9ft 77inch C3. I want the G3 for MLA but don't think I can justify the extra cost. 😢 I'm in a blxk theatre room so no light at all. And the 83inch no mla definitely can't justify the price and 9ft for a 83inch is definitely fine but. My though question is. 9ft for 83inch for GAMING especially FPS that's just too close for a comfortable fov. I'm waiting for black Friday so now I'm still trying to decide 77inch C3 or G3? If I can get that price way down. Also I'm in Australia. Thoughts I'd love some cheers. The size was so hard to decide but I think I've made a good call on that. Also my gaming is mainly on pc 4080 and some ps5

i have 65inch and its HUGE . You do know that if you come closer to the screen your 77inch looks exactly the size of my 65inch , that is say 20% difference , so if you are at 3 feet , i just go for 2,5 feet and we have same viewing size or properly said same FOV , or Field of view . Huge TVs , and i take everything beyond 50inch as huge , are not made for gaming , they are made for big rooms , and when you go past 65inch that is Home Theater area . Your 77inch is fantastic im sure for movies and stuff , but it is not bigger or smaller FOV then my 65inch , nor is my 65inch smaller or bigger then 50inc . you just come closer . And there is a benefit to a smaller Display , PC monitors show that . Im not sure why , i have Samsung UD970 some 32inch or so professional monitor , of course it gives better image then my 65inch Philips , or your 77inch . Way better image , for example its a 10 bit panel , not 8+2 FRC , native 10bit with 100% sRGB coverage of colors and 98% of Adobe RGB , those colors are not on any TV , and i know Eizo monitors that do the same thing , and fan fact , when im looking at it , i look at it from 1 feet , that is FOV of a 77inch TV in my living room . And i can go for 80inch also i just need to get closer .

@dedskin1 - My living room is 16'x18', and the wall I had the TV on is the 18' wall. Empty on both sides. My entertainment center is 70" wide and it still has a few inches gap each side with my 75" Sony. I sit about 9-9.5 feet away. Before this I had a 27" CRT tv, then Vizio 55" with large bezels and I thought that was huge but got used to it real quick. Then it's the 65" Samsung KS8000 which is about the same size due to its thin bezels and I thought that was small. I have this 75" Sony since 2019. You probably missed what Fomo said, 7-8' full immersion with 80+" TV. I am a little undersized. My Sony was top of the line TV before they introduced the master series but it's plenty bright. In fact, I developed a headache watching it with lights and eco mode off so I had to switch both on. Overall, as expensive as 83" is right now, I will be ok with 77". Having too bright of a TV isn't always good thing as far as I am concerned.

@@richlandzee8686 Your TV is still premium , i have 10 year old LG , if not older , 43inch . its old LCD panel , but it has inky blacks , no joke , it has zone dimming . Fantastic TV . But what i said is that you can get closer , if someone said you have to be this far from TV ,why would you listen to that , you have monitors that you watch from 1 feet . Only the Sound plays a role ,But there is a problem , all speakers want to be as far away from the wall as possible best sound in any room is in the center , far away from walls . You can try that you will see . Now since TV must be on the wall , that rules out the sound , you wont get any kind of good sound with speakers next to TV that is on the wall . You will get decent sound if you have some sound bar or some speakers , but they need to be far away from the wall . This is why in home theaters they put speakers in the walls so as to be flash , that way you get better sound , but still the sound remains the best in the center of the room , becase that is where reflected sound is quiet so you get clearest sound possible . They dont tell that to buyer when they install the sound system , they give them 7 or 10 speakers , like more is better , This is Atmos , this is Dolby , this is awsome and it is , its very good , but it would be much better if it was in the center of the room , but the TV negates that so you are left with speakers in wall or next to TV . And in that case you can come closer . There is no reason that i see that demands you be 10 feet from the TV . Why . I am 1 feet away from the monitor as im wringing , no problem . So i dont get why 10 feet . Who chose that number and why .

I just got Sony X95L 3 days ago. I was so shocked that the picture quality was much worse than my 75" Samsung Q8FN. I popped in a blu ray disc and the picture quality was so pixelated and so grainy. The picture motion and frame rate was very noticeable when the object was moving. Is this TV over rated and over hyped?

I'd always go to a store and see beforehand if I enjoy the picture of a TV, not just blindly ordering something. The X95L should look way way better than what you are describing, but sounds like its not being set and calibrated well, or maybe MiniLED just isn't for you.

I’ve had my a80l since launch and it’s been awesome BUT. Now that I have a ps5 my mind has completely changed on this tv especially if you use a avr hooked up to this tv and care about having Dolby vision . Apparently if you run your ps5 though your avr to a Sony tv you can not have allm and vrr on and get Dolby vision at the same time which I find a complete fail on Sonys part the only way I could remedy the situation was to hook up the ps5 directly to my tv which is dumb as I got my avr to run everything through that . I’m sooo mad 😡

The Panasonic has the best Picture Quality of Any TV, QD-Oled Included. Has the best sound, best Processing, best dolby vision, best bright room movie. The UI is its only weak point. Both the Sony A95L and Panasonic Mz2000 are priced the same. The best way to describe the Panasonic is if a A95k and G3 had a baby, it would be the Panasonic MZ2000. Calibrated before it goes in box. Really is a masterpiece . I so wish you guys could see it. Does it crush the A95L or G3 no. But it is better for movie watching, picture wise. Here in germany thou the Panasonic and Sony are almost double the price of the same sized LG G3 so LG wins for value for money hands down. The thing is in germany there are more competitors to the crown. We have the Phillips which is also super strong with the Phillips 908, and a few other Oled tv producing companies. Everybody is saying the Panasonic is the best with LG G3 , SOny A95L, S95C, Phillips 908 trailing closely behind.

WRGB Oled is a pass in 2023 when Brightness at least in Specular highlights like Lightning matters Get the A95L in 2024 when it's down in price or wait for possible 83" Pholed in 2025 - but of course it will be insanely pricey especially from Sony ! Let's see if Samsung actually has any plans for 83" QD Oled, because it doesn't seem too good.

I took a shot ever time Bryan touched his nose. I just woke up from an alcohol induced coma. Welcome back everyone. You also dont own digital copies of movies. You're renting them until the studios lose the rights. So, you're dumb if you choose digital over physical media.

@Brianstechtherapy - at 77 inch besides the A95L... what would your pick be? Sounds like it was the G3, right? BTW, I absolutely LOVED this stream. Could only stick around for a portion of the live stream since i have a 1 year old demanding my time but I appreciate FOMO for getting this recording up moments later. This stream could easily be spliced into a dozen shorts and help so hundreds of people looking to get the right TV by Black Friday. FOMO asks the right questions and truly is the best of the best at his craft. The dynamic between you three makes me wish I could just take you all for a drink at a bar haha!

As an owner of an A95L I highly recommend it. You can’t go wrong with either of those. I went A95L because I have an HTA 3000 love their software, processing and am not wall mounting. If you’re mounting G3 has aesthetic advantage there.

@@latingringo89 G3 isn’t a bad choice either. I don’t feel you can go wrong. Just telling you my thoughts and why I went A95 personally. But a G3 if I wasn’t a Sony guy would definitely be one of my picks. Or a C3 even. I like LG a lot personally. Think they’re second best brand and have basically perfected OLED at this point.

We got to cut Bryan from being the lead guy on “gaming”. You don’t come from a position of strength in the world of PC gaming when you call it the nvidia modular. It was hard to watch. Not to mention doing TV reviews at the store. Rough.

I'm sure he meant to say the now defunct Gsync "module" proprietary chipset that's no longer included in monitors and never available on any TV. But come on, "Modular" sounds so close to "module" give the guy a break! And he does have the legit 4090 for his PC gaming because he's less about building PCs and more about just gaming on them! Me on the other hand...
