There is place for old school LCD with non-local dimming. And that is in my case where I cannot have an OLED because all my content has black bars 100% of the time and I only ever watch in a pitch black room. The blooming from the local dimming would potentially be quite distracting whereas without it, at least the blooming level is consistent across the entire panel. A local dimming set would be fine in a room with ambient light and an OLED perfect in a pitch black room if you can fill that 16:9 screen the whole time.

Panasonic LZ1000 OLED price for 55 Inch is 2199sr and Sony 55X85K is 2899sr , Which TV i can choose ? I never play games , my usage is normal use - Football, Movies and KZfaq Videos .. Please Suggest?

I don't like that the remote does not allow you to jump from channel to channel - no number buttons. So, I've just been using my previous Sony remote.

I messed up my tv by connecting it to google tv app and it made my apps on my tv look like third party apps and turned them round instead of rectangular with low quality logos Help me pleaae

TVs these days are tough. You wanna get something that is within a budget but with that comes low life span I have had Hisense TVs and TCL and they don’t last nearly as soon and any Sony or LG tv I’ve ever had ( I’m in Canada we don’t have Vizio ) so I’ll always lean towards a Sony over Hisense just because of the life span and I don’t wanna buy a new tv every 3 years.

I can confirm, the reason I'm here for this review is my Hisense just conked out after 2 years of use. You get what pay for so I thought it was best to start looking at more mid range TV's instead of the entry level options (Hisense, TCL etc...)

I would pick a Sony TV over any China product like the TSL in the Hisense all Chinese garbage Sony has always made the best TVs and they always will plus when you buy a Sony you know you're going to have it for many many years you buy one of those cheaper ones like every other brand go get a couple years out of it and nothing will die in you absolutely garbage don't waste your money on anything else just do it right the first time and get a Sony you won't regret it

Yeah, TCL and Hisense are a major cyber security concern. If you're gonna get a smart TV, definitely go with a Sony or potentially a Samsung or potentially an LG but I feel more comfortable with a Sony.

Sony budget TVs are all trash, the cheapest decent model is the X90L

Works great for me. No problems at all. Sony makes a more reliable TV even if it is the budget model.

Sorry, but their cheapest models take a dump on the majority of cheap tvs out there. Including Samsung and LG. Their image processing and motion alongside color and shadows details is just insanely better than the competition.
