Unfortunately not. The camera only uses Alkaline batteries and in the manual it states not to use 1.2v rechargeable batteries or Duracell manufactured batteries. The cable is for data transfers only.

No. It has no screw thread on the front of the lens. Check out the H400, it does have a lens thread.

Maybe the memory card is corrupt or the wrong type. Was the camera new or used, when you bought it. The quality should be exactly the same, I had 2 of the same camera and both were identical. I hope you can get it working right, if not take it back to the shop. Thanks for watching.

No, sorry. Have a look at an entry level Canon with an 18-55mm kit lens. They are great cameras and not too expensive. Maybe a Canon 750D or even a Canon M10 is a great little camera that you can change the lenses.

The battery will last for weeks. (if you do not use the camera) Obviously if you use the camera it will depend on things like, how often you zoom in and out, how many photographs you take. 35x isn't enough? I just did a video on a Canon 100-400mm Telephoto lens and the old Sony still out zoomed it and beat it for clarity. lol

Yes, you're right. The camera has a very nice digital zoom however that beats many other cameras. It is an old camera now though.

I guess that you were confusing percentage with x times zoom. When the reviewer said '75%' max optical zoom, that's 75% from x35 optical zoom. 35/100 x 75 = x26,25 zoom

There is no way of attaching a filter to the front of the lens, unless you hold one there. But also there is no bulb setting, I don't have the camera anymore so I cannot be sure, but I will say 85% no you cannot. I hope this helps.

Sony DSC H300 vs Sony W800 which is best

W800 is a smaller camera. If you want zoom and a lot if zoom then H300. If you want portability and not so much zoom then get the smaller camera.

Abraham Then it is your choice my friend. What do you want it for? Just family shots or do you want to make money from your work? If it is for fun and family, then go for it. It has an amazing zoom and nice image quality. I bought one again last Christmas for my daughter and she loves it. But if you have plans of becoming professional then I would save up and buy a camera you can change the lenses. Hope this helps.

Hi Mr Lopez. I am sorry to hear of your troubles with the camera you have. I rarely use a tripod when taking photographs and the photographs and video I shared in my review were taken without a tripod or any stabilization device. Even at full zoom, I have had minimal shaking or blur in the pictures and so I think there is either a problem with the camera you have or the way/settings in which you are using it. As for your comment on smartphones they can indeed take a better looking photo than many DSLR or similar cameras it is only when you make the image bigger do you see the real difference. It you look at the photo only on the camera or phone screen then they look the same, but on a large screen TV 60" or above or blowing the photo up to poster size you can see the difference. Photography all comes down to what you want from a photo. If you just want selfies or a quick photo at the beach with the wife and kids then you don't really need more than an iPhone 7. Finally please remember that I don't work for or have any shares in Sony. My review was an honest one at that time and was to assist people in making a choice of which camera is suitable for them, it is not intended as a sales video.
