I carefully readjusted it, but the audible limit is -100dbm to -90dbm.
White noise is the fate of portable radios, but this high sensitivity is sufficient without replacing parts.
The antenna used for DX in the first half of the video is ALA1530s+.

What are the advantages of these shortwave radios besides getting world stations? I usually buy vintage boomboxes and just buying a basic radio without a cd or tape seems kind of too basic for me. Oh and when I was a young teen, I had this Sanyo top of the line boombox that had those 2 shortwave bands and I never used. Oh and that model was from the late 70’s but I can’t remember the model number.

I'm glad that you watched the video. Since the volume is turned up when recording, the vibrations from the speakers are causing the rotation. (This is not a poltergeist phenomenon😱)

I'm glad that you watched the video. This radio has already gone to a new owner. This is a high-performance radio that is fun to operate, so if you see it at an auction, why not get it?

Thumbnail "11750 MHz" which is 11.75 GHz and thus not applicable to this receiver. Just saying... 🙂

But you couldn’t listen to that poor BBC signal for any usable length of time. Seems the old WW2 broadcast receivers do a better job!
