Ever since I started using these I have not used anything else. You can wear them for 15 hours straight with no discomfort, forget they're even there. I've been wearing this pair for 10 years. They never fail you. The only time I ever had to replace them was because the headband broke, and only because I accidentally squashed them. If you treat them right, they're the best headphones you'll ever buy.

Got the blue version of these, had them for over 3 years and they are still working like brand new, love the bass and the sound, and they are so comfortable you can fall asleep with them on

I prefer natural sound and this could be better, but God these are the most comfortable headphones ever. Putting them on is almost sexual.

I had 3 XB-500. I have 2 remaining. I used the 3rd one as the subwoofer into my Roccat Kave XTD 5.1 Analog headset. Basically I removed the vibration units that receive the subwoofer channel into the headset and replaced them by the XB-500 transducers and it works very well.

i have those headphones, they are just overwhelming! but i found something curious, im not supposed to hear any sound with frequency below 20Hz, right?go to google and search " sound frequency generator online" enter the first page and set the software to produce a 10Hz sound, AND I HEAR IT CLEARLY. i dont hear it with the speakers or other crappy headphones, only with the XB500
