Just fixed my headphones - would have ever been able to do this without your tutorial.. went out and bought myself a soldering iron just for this... now I feel like I need to tear down every electronic to solder the heck out of it lol

I followed nothing of this complicated method. I simply took some Araldite Standard Epoxy Adhesive , mixed the resin and hardener, applied it on the joints and left it for 24 hrs. It’s been 3 years and it looks as if it’s stuck forever. Of course, as it’s mentioned here, the swivel doesn’t work but the headphone works better than than new. No more worries about the fragile hinges.

Watched this video to replace the left hanger on my headphones. I had a bad feeling about this when I disconnected the wires with the sodering iron. When I tried to resoder them back, I realized you make that look way easier then it actually is. They won't work anymore. I think I'm screwed now

I repaired the break in the plastic on my headphones with contact cement. That was about 5 years ago. Still holding on strong.

I've had my sony headphones mdr xb650bt for 5 years and the only thing that broke is the earpads on both sides. I need to replace them and I won't be able to wait much longer and also I'm saving my money for school. My swivels never broke after 5 years. I'm not sure if I noticed something going on with the battery, but I'll be watching that out since batterie also have a limited life span. So far, I never had any issues with them.

Hi top video. I am looking to tear down and remove the head band completely and use only the speakers. I want to instal them in a motorcycle helmet if possible. Does the bluetooth receiver sit in the earcup or are there components in the headband preventing my suggested use.

My Wh-ch510 snapped after I found your video hopefully you provide me technical advice on how to repair my headphone. By the way, your videos seem to absorb like a sponge.

Mine done the exact same thing, alot of other people have had the same problem but I didn't have the time or tools to fix it this way so I just used alot of superglue, it doesn't swivle anymore but it's on there again😂

great vid ...i've had to repair 3 of the hangers on our 650's now, they're just not strong enough due to being hollow (suspect the metallic paint is also weakening them over time) also spares are becoming harder to source (here in the UK at least) ...as a work around i've used a faulty MDR XB550's (wired) hangers & swivels, they need very slight modifying (you need to dremmel/ drill a hole in the hanger) but 550's are much much cheaper (i paid £2.50 for a faulty pair) but also much stronger (your wire passes straight down through the swivel & hanger into the housing (so a small/ 1cm section of wire is visible -like a traditional pair of headphones)

My swivel broke both sides also the frame that holds the circle part of the headphones where the drivers are (the one that connects the speakers to the frame)

DIY, I've got a brand new pair of XB650BT headphones that I gave my wife a year ago. This year she asked for another pair and when I asked why, she said they never worked. Anyhow, I got her a new set and kept these for myself. They will not pair up to anything. Not my iPad Air 2, Mac Book Pro or my iPhone XR. I've tried the factory reset according to the manual, but no joy. I noticed in one of your videos that there is a reset switch inside the headphones. Mine doesn't have that switch even though they're the same model. I took them to the Geek Squad and they said they couldn't do anything with them. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks
