Great video! Btw im thinking of purchasing a compact system, which out of these do you think I should get: the NEX C3, Olympus E-P2, E-PL3, Panasonic Lumix GX1 and GF1

Nice review. I was looking to buy a new camera and can't decide between the NEX-C3 or the Olympus E-PM1. Also how do you find the NEX-5N? Would it be better to go for the 5 or the 3?

if you could do some tutorials on how to use this camera for different light settings and different kind of photography I would love to learn, I am trying to use full manual setting as much as possible but most of the time I tend to use Aperture priority or iA because I lack control on light and dont want lose the moment. Also how to variate between shutter speed and aperture for given ISO and vice versa :) thank man, your vids are awesome

Hi John. On paper, the specs of the NEX C3 and the Sony A37 is almost the same except for the body, video and view finder. For someone coming from a point and shoot camera and drawn more to portrait shooting, which would you recommend? Thanks.

John, I have a question here. Is the video quality with 720p is enough for me to get a good and clear close-up video in concert? Or should I go with SONY-NEX 5N instead?

I would probably recommend the NEX-F3 which is the successor to the NEX-C3. It adds full HD 1080p video and you can clip the screen up for self shooting as well which I find really handy.

Thats part of it. There are a few other things that come into play when it comes down to sharpness such as the quality of the lens and even the sensor of the camera but generally to get sharper photos it has to do with the aperture or maybe even the shutter speed. I'm working on a tutorial about that at the moment so I can explain things properly. You can go on my facebook page in the description of this video.

It might depend on your focus point or the aperture you are using. Try using a smaller aperture of f/11 or smaller to get more in focus. A larger aperture of f3.5 will tend to give you more background blur. If you can afford macro and wide angle lenses, then I say go for it. Its a lot of fun shooting macro but I love doing landscape photography.

@xRazakix For the best in image quality and low light the NEX-C3 would be the better choice. The E-PM1 however, is much faster in auto-focus speed and has 1080p and in body stabilization. I would recommend the NEX-5N over the C3 because of the 1080p video mode, touch screen and better grip. Look out for my review coming soon. That's my next video and thanks for the question.

I have a quick question, when I take pictures some are really sharp even at 100% magnification and while others are not, how can I improve that? Also I like nature and landscape, should I get macro and wide angle lens as an amateur?

Hi. I would probably go with either the a37 or the a57. If you're looking to do long exposure landscapes, there are several remotes that you can use to enable you to take shots longer than 30secs, whereas if you went with the NEX cameras, its very hard to do. Out of the a37 and a57, I would probably go with the a57 because it has a more flexible LCD and I like the bigger body compared to the a37. Hope that helps.

I guess that depends on you're preferences. If you prefer a viewfinder then, the 1100D would be better. If you don't mind composing through an LCD screen, then the NEX-C3 with the added bonus of being more compact.

You can achieve good quality with both but you'll get better performance with the NEX-5N. It also depends on the lens you're using if you want close up videos.

I am looking for a camera thats in the same price class as the c3 but better for video. I need a camera that takes good video and is portable(I don't want to carry my dslr whit me its to heavy). Do you guys have any suggestion?

It definitely is, especially at high iso and the colors are much better in my opinion. This is because the NEX-C3 has a larger sensor than the X10.

@97adhib Thank you =.) Those choices are in different classes but with overall image quality the NEX cameras will always be better because of the larger sensor, especially in low light. In terms of useability it would be between the GX1 but that is a higher class of camera comparable to the NEX 7. Olympus and Panasonic have better auto-focus though. Is there a certain price point for your choices?

Hi Emmanuel, there is only a slight difference between the two where the NEX-5N performs a bit better but in the real world you probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

Spec wise its better than the C3 and there are more features than on the F3 such as the flip up screen, built in flash and full HD recording. The main thing you are giving up is the compactness of the camera.

If you have video ...how to shoot HD video by this camera ... it's will help me alot because i m useing this camera & i shoot video & photo together ... when i shoot always brightness problem... when the photo good .video is dark ... when video is good photo is too bright... can you help me to show some option to soulb my problem
