You know what’s really crazy to think about? Venom could’ve been Sony’s Spider-Man, but darker and edgier, and all these solo movies like Morbius, Kraven and Madame Web could’ve functioned like sequels to the Venom series/franchise. Imagine a Venom movie with Morbius as the villain, a Venom movie with Madame Web as a team-up character, and a Venom movie with Kraven and it’s like Kraven’s Last Hunt, but with Venom!! How could Sony screw up so much???

I don't think while the Spider-Man in MCU deal is active, Sony can legally mention Spider-Man without Disney's permission i.e. Kevin Feige or Bob Iger's but they must continue pumping out movies involving Spider-Man characters to retain those characters or else it would all revert back to Marvel. If Marvel really wanted them, they're going to have to really pay up or buy Sony.

The MCU is a canonical universe within the multiverse of Marvel that has its own Earth version. Even if a multiverse universe kind of sucks, (there are aspects that do suck I know) it isn't the universe or the only universe.

Honestly the idea of the Sonyverse being a series of stories in different universes, showing what their villains were up to when the other two Spider-Men disappeared is a really interesting idea with a lot of potential, shame they messed it up so badly.

This actually breaks my heart. After I beat Spider-Man 2, and seeing Venom in that game, it made me wonder how good a Spider-Man vs. Venom movie in the MCU or Sony’s Spider Man Universe could’ve been if they had a direction where they wanted the story to go. It’s sad, really On a lighter note, hopefully we get Carnage at some point in the Insomniac video games, and have Galactus mentioned or foreshadowed in their upcoming X-Men game (saying all this for fun speculation to lighten the mood)

In canon, Madam Web meets and advises Spiderman when she is an old lady. She is younger in this and it is covering her origin story. Of course she wouldn't know Spider-Man yet. Since she is old when she meets Spiderman, she doesn't know him yet. The Peter Parker we know she knows/advises isn't even Spiderman and isn't around yet. It's a matter of time frame. Madam Web is young in her new origin movie. She could however see/ be seeing visions of the future along with glimpses of what she is. It also depends on what multiverse's version of her they are using.

@@benmalsky9834 I was a kid in the 90's and saw the animated show and read some of the comics. That is where my perspective comes from. I also know TMNT how they are supposed to be, not Michael Bay's Incredible Hulk Mutant Ninja Turtles or the dumb jock version of Raphael in Rise. 😎 They were younger than April who is 32 and the size of average teenagers when they meet her and therefore were not taller than adult humans. Marvel creates multiverses as canon, Nickelodeon throws established canon out the window for cash grabs.

Should have just brought back Amazing Spiderman and have them take place in that universe, especially Venom. Could have had that version of Flash Thompson join the marines, and lose his legs. It could connect by her having her own personal after credit scene added to the DVD (if the movie does good enough to meet expectations, they add in the connection), and have it be her in the future of her universe blind and in her signature pose looking through the webs at all the spider-men across the universe and claiming she "needs them all, to stop the next big threat" teasing what Sony actually wants, LIVE ACTION SPIDER-VERSE MOVIE. But yeah, a quick tease for venom vs spidey in V3 would be great. Didn't Tom Hardy say he wont even sign the contract for V3 if Spiderman isn't in it?

I wouldn’t say that, it’s up to us to make them decide what to do. I say we like the films more so that they have more consistent plans. The more we are positive, the more positive the results
