to shoot the moon you should put the metering mode on spot , use the lowest ISO and a fast enough shutter speed then tap to focus.lock the focus.then put a timer take the shot on a tripod it will be perfect.I use to shoot the moon on my xperia X from 2016. Now I switched to huawei cz sony is not sold in my country anymore. I miss sony color science and processing so much. Nice video bro!

I have an LG G6 which is almost 4 years old and it does all the same stuff. Thirty second exposure, 50 ISO, two lenses, all manual controls and it takes great shots. It was a real shame hardly anybody talked about it at launch.

Yeah. LG has a great manual mode for photos and videos since a long time. I also have an LG G6 which had a very modern design when it came out. Sadly the loudspeaker is blown out and I could not use it as my main driver. Sony also had a great manual mode for photos as far as I remember. But video never was strong

How about settings to be able to take a proper night photo?
@ernestorivera39363 жыл бұрын
Hi, to take pictures to de moon, EV at te minimum, maximum zoom, infinite focus and the magic comes with the metering on spot. You can take good detail with that, the rest of values should be left on auto.

Great tip. Do you have sample shots?

Hi, can you tell me what the AF-On does, and what is the difference between it and the other options for autofocus? Thanks !
@lltechview3 жыл бұрын
It enables AF-C. Traditionally on real cameras it is used for back button focussing. So the shutter button should not engage focussing at all

Nice vid, I have xz2 compact at the moment. I'm considering upgrading but with the stand camera being so 'average ' can any of the gcam mods work on the Xperia 5ii? It seems Sony prevents the xz compacts from running gcam.
@lltechview3 жыл бұрын
There is no gcam for the Xperia 5 II

I think you are locked at a shutter shutter speed of 1s (slowest) you can't do anything about it. But you can do AMAZING and very clean shots of light trails and even shoot the moon properly exposed if done right! I used a timer and ISO 80 and a shutter speed of 1s at night on decently lit streets. I think the phone does A little bit more than that 1s for this low ISO but still puts it 1s in the meta data of the picture.

cool video, but how do you turn off image stabilization in Photo Pro? it ruins my long exposure tripod photos
@lltechview2 жыл бұрын
For photos it is relying on the OIS only which you cannot turn off.
@airgrphxable2 жыл бұрын
@@lltechview yes, but on a tripod the OIS gets confused and blurs details or does wavy star trails. Is it just me or the app seems a little half baked (it really feels like it was made by a camera firmware team and not app developers). Anyway I found a tip: leave the camera in place for 10-20sec to have the OIS settle down then trigger it, it's still not perfect but it's much better

Without a tripod what are the best settings to use to have a good picture outside like a "night mode"
@lltechview3 жыл бұрын
Night mode without tripod. Hmm... hard to tell. You can get down to 1/50s for the shutter speed. But everything lower will cause hand shakes to be seen. And even with the 1/50s you have to stay pretty steady. Use the main cam as it has bigger pixels that are more light sensitive. Otherwise maybe really use the Automatic mode as it creates an automatic night time photo by using Sonys algorithms. It is not perfect though as it does not brighten the image as far as other night modes known from other brands.

In the night mode you've always need a good tripod.
