I had one then sold it, regretted it and now I have just bought another RX10iv for under £1000 from MPB. I love this camera so much, for me it is the perfect camera.

09:08 YES!! Canon please take note, the ubiquitous side hinged flippy flappy screen is not wanted as much as you think. The screen here on the Sony is fast, inconspicuous and doesn’t double the width of the camera. And when composing you don’t have to look away left from the lens axis. So much better! Excellent video, thank you.

I seriously doubt that anyone will ever pack more features into a single camera, especially at an affordable price. If you've got enough light, this camera pretty much does it all.

I own the RX10 M3 it’s so versatile and good for video shooting. The only downside is the contrast detection auto focus system. Thinking of buying the good old RX10 M4.

Totally awesome camera. I even have great birds in flight and astrophotography photos taken on a star tracker with mine. Even if you have the cash for specialist interchangeable lenses, having one of these zoom cameras is a wonderful thing to carry everywhere with you.

I love long exposure for the ISS and you probably will think I’m crazy but actually I’m pretty sure I even photographed a UFO at night with this camera as crazy as that sounds

Thanks for that. As ussual nice shoots there!! I'm using mine every day in my forest walks. This is my favorite "one hand" camera. I like very much the video quality. For wherever the reason I get better wide pictures with my RX10II, and I don't know why...(different lens size?). I wish RX10 V will have the same auto focus than the new AIII model......BTW, the content and design of your videos is astonishing. I enjoy them very much. I really like your style. It’s been proven believe it or not that the camera is actually added sharpest at F4 and fully extended 600 equivalent zoom I was reading up on it and there was a debate going on in the form. I was reading it about and the guy that knew he was talking about really went in great details to why this particular lens and what makes you so so special isand differentiates it from other ones zoom lens is the fact that one actually is at its best at the almost every other bridge camera is not the case

👍Just bought a used one, will receive it second half of this week. I want to use it for wildlife (on the fly). I am already invested heavily in M4/3 with the G9II and the OM1 (with Olympus Pro glass) but this new camera will be my allways with me camera... (in case I cross some opportunities) and for all those moments where I can not go lower than 300mm on the OM1/G9II (600 35mm equivalent). It will be my companion on my bicycle tours throughout Europe. Good content, joined the channel 🙋‍♂

RX10 iv a bargain at circa £ 1000 if u shop around . Excellent for wildlife and shooting in raw with fast access settings to switch at a touch of a button to get one frame or multiple frame action shots at v high shutter speeds . Any noise from the 1inch sensor can be fixed with Tooaz denoise to really get some professional shots too . Why Sony are not extending the range is beyond me - if a mark v comes out it will be a must buy for me !

@@techtoremember8096 thats cool hope its working well for you. theres a few functions in it i wanted for the channel so very handy and complements the A1 and rx10iv really well now just gotta sell the a7r3 which is sat in the bag doing nothing another reason i bought it

Your pictures with this camera are amazing! What’s the setting you used? Do you used higher shutter speed often? Auto ISO?

Thank you so much! Since I'm doing street photography, yes I use shutter priority mode and usually set to 1/1000 to make sure there is no blurring and let the camera do the rest in terms of aperture and ISO. Camera seems to be able to figure it out well.! Thanks again for your comment

The auto iso for me I don’t really care for because sometimes it’s playing catchup and over exposing with a too high ISO and I don’t know if it’s because of the updated post processing software that’s available or just a raw file but I find that it’s amazing the detail I’m able to get out of the shadows times so I tendency to select my ISO manually as opposed to using range if I do decide to do the range, I usually am very conservativeas I pretty much tested every possible combination lol I’m kind of obsessed

Very nice video, my friend. I'm struggling to choose between the Nikon P1000 and the Sony RX10IV. I'm impressed by the zoom on the Nikon, but I also know about the significant differences in their sensors. Do you think that with cropping on the Sony, I can achieve similar results to the Nikon's Super zoom?

Hi there. Thanks for the comment!-You can definitely crop in on the Sony as the lens is razor sharp and if you perfectly nailed focus and the ISO is low you sure can crop in. The Sony has a 600mm equivalent and if you took a nice clear sharp shot, what I've found is that you can crop in maybe 2x to an equivalent of 1200mm maybe 1500mm on a good day. (And you have the clear image zoom don't forget 2x on photos, 1.5x on videos which does a pretty good job) This is still way short of the P1000. However I will tell you that often at those high zooms on the P1000 there are many misses due to focus, subject movement etc especially if you're not on a tripod. So its not an easy decision. Personally for most of the time I think the Sony's reach is adequate but if you are using it for a very specialized application like aviation or long distance wildlife , then the P1000 will still give you an unparalleled reach!

I was considering adding a big zoom on my m43, but now wondering if this may be the better choice..it would actually be lighter plus no need for a second smaller lens. A local camera store has a used one for sale. I do have the rx100vii and really enjoy when hiking and backpacking and need something small, but often miss the extra zoom. Appreciate the video!

HI there, Yes, the Mark 3 was very similar to the Mark 4. Some improvements in Autofocus but the Mark 3 still had good autofocus so you should be fine.

There are plenty of phones nowadays that have 1” sensor (Apple iPhone is not there yet, but will eventually come closer). So, it’s not the sensor that makes rx10 iv a better option in comparison to smartphones, but the lens!
