This is less a review than a Sony Commercial... But got the technical details explained very good and interesting.

The body of Z1r made with Zirconium alloy that used in Nuclear reactor and jewelry. Not magnesium. Other sony flagship like XBA Z5 made with magnesium.

Hello Milan, not sure - but we're always more interested in the result than the vendor gets from whatever selection of materials and technology they used. These in ear monitors sound really good

This is just truly amazing. Iʼve only recently gone into high-end in-ear monitors since I am fascinated by how they sound in contrast to their headphone counterparts and this one by Sonyʼs Hi-Res Audio line intrigues me. Itʼs also speaks premium all over. But the price, though. LOL And since I am new with in-ear monitors, I would like to ask something that would sound outright novice on my part but Iʼll ask it anyway since I am curious about it: Would it be good to use this with a DAC/Amp? Like, will it make the listening experience even richer than just simply plugging it into a device? I hope you would respond. Thank you for this review; great job! God bless!

Yes, yes, and yes. Most phones or computers just do not sound that good. I always recommend separate source and amplification electronics once you start getting anywhere near this category of headphones. In my opinion if someone is spending over $200 on headphones than they should absolutely consider better electronics.

hm friend, ier-z1r is a highend iems meant/qualified for professional usage, it surely requires proper dac+amp to sound optimum
