I have the o.g. mic and plug. It sticks with a cassette in it most times. Turn it upside down. Give it a slight/tap/shake the turn it back up. Then open

Kirk Butterfield I found one in my attic, the sounds from tape through the speakers have a high pitch, I’ve changed speeds and cleaned the heads and I still have an issue. Any Help?

Make sure your FAST PB is turned off, opposite from the direction its pointed. MIC SENS L, for low. Your continous record, aka VOR you might have to toggle with. Could be a bad connection with the microphone. If you have othe original. Also depends on what tape your using. Do you have a brandnew cassette? Try rocking the volume while you record to see if that helps. Try unplugging the mic and using the built in microphone on the player.

It doesn't have a belt clip because it was mainly intended as a journalist's recorder for interviews.

Thought mine was broken for a long time since it only worked in one earbud, turns out it’s just mono playback. Also mine’s significantly more used than yours and the buzz is pretty loud. I think the speaker on this thing is prone to wear out over time.

It's not problem of this recorder. It have monophonic universal head. On my headphones works only left channel.

Not the same. This recorder play and record only monophonic sound and his high frequency only 6300 Hz.
