Wait I tried vrr with my PS5 would not let me

If you are in game mode then your TV should be VRR compatible. Make sure you plugged in your PS5 into the HDMI 2.1 inputs on your TV (HdMI 3 and 4, if I remember correctly)

What imax enhanced is buddy???😋

Better than IMAX enhanced? I thought that was the best picture quality - although I kind of suspected it was doing something fishy.

@valueofnothing2487 IMAX Enhanced preset adds edge enhancements and use noise reduction to make the video artificially sharp and scrubbing some of the original details due to the noise reduction.

I got the 85 x90l. I adjusted to your settings and it looks better. Was wandering in vivid mode why does everything look so grainy and hazy?

@jeremym1530 because vivid mode is created to be viewed in retail store conditions, not home.

Makes no difference as the bandwidth from cable TV is very low

Cinemotion is to ensure 24fps materials played properly without any soap opera effect.

@@rippedtidegaming1349 thank you for watching and subscribing. For gaming, I would recommend to use the gaming mode. I find the lag to be less in the gaming mode although I don’t really like the look if the picture.

I deliberately didn’t share that. Those are fine tuning that vary greatly from panel to panel so in real life copying multipoint is useless.

I personally don’t like game mode. I use the same settings I mentioned in the video for everything

@@DavidSusiloUnscripted darn, VRR mode (using HDMI 2.1) to maximize the 120hz forces the mode. Do you think I can use the other settings but exclude custom mode?

I charge C$450 plus mileage for audio or video or C$800 plus mileage for audio AND video. Depending on your location, mileage may be free of charge. Please note that unlike Geek Squad, my calibration is for both SDR and HDR, not only SDR.

In a grand scheme of things I would give this TV a solid 7. miniLED is of course better with OLED being the best.

It is especially if you watch the TV in the darkness. If you are not watching the TV in the darkness just use my settings in one of my videos.

The factory settings for DV is already good. I personally leaving it as is (if I don’t professionally calibrating it)

No need to change the settings on the Tv. Leave it for DV. When you turn on this option it only means the TV is ready to accept DV signal. It does NOT turn any input into fake DV

@@DavidSusiloUnscripted Thanks for your response. The only problem with leaving it set to Dolby Vision is that you can't select other options under the Picture mode. "Standard", "Cinema", "Custom", etc. no longer shows up. With Dolby Vision enabled, your only option now is "Dobly Vision Bright", "Dolby Vision Dark" and "Vivid". Don't know why that is, do you?

That is very weird. What is the source connected to the Tv? Sony 4K player? If that so, you have to turn on and turn off DV from the player.

@@DavidSusiloUnscripted I have my Sony 4K Blu Ray player, 4K Firestick, Apple TV 4K, and PS5 connected to my Yamaha receiver. And then eARC out from receiver to eArc (HDMI 3) in to the TV. All are enabled for DV. Actually I connected my PS5 directly to TV in order to enable VRR mode. I can switch inputs from the receiver, but as long as Dolby Vision is enabled on TV, everything shows as DV whether it has it or not and then, like I said, no other picture mode is available, just DV and Vivid.

That should not happen at all on the TV. Have you tried doing a factory reset? But make sure your Sony player is NOT set to DV unless you’re playing DV movie. PS5 DV setting is also somewhat known to create the problem you described.

You have to play something in hdr in order for the option to show up

The motion blur is actually part of the broadcast. There is nothing that can be done to reduce that.

Yes. This is a general setting that can be copied X90L too. This is not a replacement for professional calibration but it will get you perhaps half way there without spending US$300 on calibration. Thank you for watching and please subscribe

@@DavidSusiloUnscripted thanks , it's funny but I have my own nit picks and opinions on tvs and I believe everyone should , so I have to share with you ,I bought the x85k 75 inch then I decided let's do oled so I bought the a80k 65 inch and yes it looked good but naw I preferred the x85k ,now I have the Samsung Qn90b it cost me 2700 tax not included and I believe it's trash ..so yeah thats my story but I stand by my judgment opinion.

Well you are not wrong. The Samsung Q90 is trash.

TCL for some reason is not prevalent in Canada. I can’t even receive their TV for review as they just don’t lend their TV at all. As for Samsung, you can start just by moving it to Cinema mode and you’re already more than halfway there. Hope it helps a bit.

Leave the rest as is. Only change the ones I mentioned. You missed the gamma I mentioned in the video. Set it to 2.4 if you’re watching in a dark room, 2.2 if in a bright room.

The recommendation is always off. Any motion settings are only adding fake frames into the picture.

No. The 80K and 85K use completely different panel, processor, and backlighting.

Perhaps you have a panel with completely different batch than the one I use. This is common with all brands and that’s why in general you can’t copy someone’s setting for example from Rtings and copied to your TV.

You may want to clear your cache. Usually that helps make the TV boots up faster.
