Does JBL Flip 5 do well with video to audio lag when connected to a laptop? is it bearable? worried bec of bluetooth 4.2

Yes it does, it is shown in the video. There is severe audio lag with a 200ms latency.

When you play the song, I order the Tribit. Although it's not 1/3 the price of the Sony here in Malaysia, it's still cheaper.

Sir, Can you please suggest me one from maxsound or stormbox. I am planning to use it mostly in a temporary car which do not have an audio system. I am more confused about audio quality than bass as both have a good bass. Also a little confused about 360 vs directional i think directional will sound better when kept in dashboard facing me, but need an expert opinion. Thank you😊

The most professional review I've have seen. Well done. However In Italy too they costs different, but If tribit max sound plus and JBL flip 5 would cost the same price, in terms of build quality, durability, sound quality and battery life, which one would you buy? i prefer the sound of the maxsound plus but...... fip 5 can be played as a stereo pair and is more rugged. flip 5 has better battery life. flip 5 party tuning vs maxsound neutral tuning, more serious.

they are different leagues, maxsound plus cant touch the motion plus, they are both leaders in their class, sub £100 and sub £50.

Yes it does seems like it doesn’t have enough bass on the recording but in reality it does sound good from 10% to 85% volume then after that there is this roll off but if you have it outside it does beat all of them because one of its lower luffs and two its higher mid and high bass meaning you can hear the bass further and thanks to its 360 like design you can hear it in almost any direction except the back and also the battery is good sense today I used it in my back yard for building this canape it lasted 6 hours and it still had 30% which means It can last another 2 to 3 hours and I was playing it at 80 to 100%

Hello Alan would it be possible for you to make a video with 2 tribit maxsound plus speakers hardwired using a splitter from your phone to the aux inputs on the tribits like you do with the mini rigs that way we can hear how 2 maxsound plus would sound? Thanks a bunch

The Motion+ is the most powerful and biggest of them, the Tribit is smaller, costs less but still sounds good.

Tribit have upgraded the XSound Go. Now you can link 2 for TWS. They also upped the Bluetooth and the wattage. With that said I’m wondering if Tribit will be doing the same for the MaxSound Plus. Also, if possible can you reach out to Tribit to get the upgraded XSG so you can do a sound comparison with the older version

since i did the full tribit lineup video i never heard from them. I did ask for the stormbox mini which they did send. They did leave a comment saying they will always support me but i only see them doing freebies for bigger channels these days. So i just buy my own speakers anyway and look for something that interests me at the time. I take on board what gets suggested in comments so i will keep these in mind.

There is an upgraded maxsound plus now with tws, usb c and bluetooth 5.0 I have 2 and they are really nice in stereo.

@@alanrossreviews The product info isnt updated but it is in fact the upgraded model. Same sound signature, just with usb c, bluetooth 5.0, audiobook eq and stereo pairing. The stereo pairing works very seemless for me. Hold the bluetooth button down on both of them to pair the first time. After that you can just turn on both of them at the same time and they connect automaticaly.

My uncle gifted me a Sony xb23 it’s pretty balanced at stock eq mainly for movie I think for songs trebled was suppressed but adjusting it to 8 treble 1 mids 2,3 bass it good for loud listening for calm music I try to put 8 treble -1 mid 5,10 bass the speaker give a lot control but It lacks in battery performance

i would say all of these are too small for a party. maybe bogasing m4, motion plus or motion boom would be better.

maxsound plus is an awesome speaker if you need a small speaker only for music on your phone...with pc however it has sometimes connectivity issues and I also don't like the small buttons.

I have a query about the Tribit Maxsound Plus which I just purchased after watching your execellently detailed video review. Does the line in have lag? The reason I ask is because I noticed that when you turn the Tribit on, It has the same signature sound as my Anker Soundcore which has a line in but it has horrible lag. So do they this same lag issue? Many thanks and keep up the epic reviews!

i guess for the cheap price point - quality is going to be cut - but tribit clearly made an effort to improve there speakers.. so the lag regardless is acceptable in this case. im a sound producer going overseas lol

I would go for the Sony at 40% then the Tribit and lastly the rather poor JBL. Tribit takes over at 76% clearer forward vocals, then the xb23 (LOCKDOWN BASS RULES?) and sadly last again for me at least the poor old JBL. 96% the Trbit is starting to shine with better balance than both the others. The Flip pulling through a little better but still not worth it for me and the XB23 just doing the usual Sony thing with lockdown nicking the bass this on this model I reckon....final purchase choice for me....ooh tough choice but its between the xb23 and the Tribit and on this occasion the codecs have it I'm afraid so on that premise alone its the XB23 for me. i have already owned the Tribit and love the Tribits sound.. I would however recommend the Stormbox over the Maxxsound, its a later model thats all.

@@alanrossreviews I don’t mind bass ie dance, ragga, and so on but not at the sacrifice of all else. To be honest I have just ordered the XB23 this evening for £50 😆… will I regret it….I don’t think so but it is a work speaker for me so it doesn’t have to be too accurate just decent enough with a bit of volume. Again, I might get another LDAC phone at some point too so it’s a no brainer at that price.

Tribit and jbl sound very good, I have a tribit myself, but jbl has a bit more bass, unfortunately it is almost twice as expensive. Sony made not funny joke, because such money for such a speaker and such a sound is a mistake. It sounds like an old radio, not much bass, not too high, only a dry midrange

Actually it doesn’t because I did over 1k songs and it doesn’t sound like a radio at all. I have a compareasion coming out soon with the ion plunge speaker.

you Always speak custom equalizer on motion+. I have tribit xsound go, i use poco phone which has custom equalizer for Bluetooth phone, and i use your motion+ equalizer on xsound go. dam xsound for such small size it bad asss. mind it i have mounted this speaker on my motorcycle. i just waiting for version 3 for maxsound plus with Bluetooth 5.3, aptx and 30 watt speakers as said by one of the support team.

only in that you are also using partyboost which draws extra power.

@@leekellehern7 Jbl have crappy batteries that’s probably why because my friends jbl flip 4 battery gotten worst because it keeps turning itself off and the Bluetooth is very bad now too.

the tribit maxsound plus in south america is in 70 -75 dollars.. and is a 2019 speaker.. and the jbl is in 90-100 dollars .. i can´t see the value on the tribit because of the battery.. is so bad.. and dont haviing C charge... mmm i think in the Uk with that amazing prices u have the tribit is a very good option.. but here? mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm i preffer the flip 5 ...

I really like the Sony for the fact I can change the bass and change it to the room I am in. For example listen in the bathroom the bass is shit over the shower so switching it off means I can hear the music better. However in my kitchen with the bass on full it sounds perfect. Then in my room is best just left normal. The flip is probably better sounding however been able to change the levels really makes a difference were I live.

Alan, go to Sony's reference guide on the XB23 online. The XB23 is 4 watts per channel. So 8 watts total output 😛

@@alanrossreviews Yeah pretty much lol. I'm ashamed to say I bought it. I've noticed that a lot of companies boost their mid-bass to compensate for the lack of power on some speakers. It takes pure raw power to produce true bass

loooooooooool flip5 - 90 euro tibit - 45 euro. well, its no way for flip5. Tribit sounds much better for allround music and compactness. flip 5 is only for bass junkies.

I bought the Sony x23 but after listening for an hour I immediately returned it as it sounded tinny and lacks bass. My old Megaboom 3 sounds much more preferable at the low-medium volume I usually listen.

He does he just don’t like the xb23 at all to me they need to fix that 85% vol and up roll off which is annoying but good thing that there is a eq were you can adjust the settings for better audio
