The phone is the epitome of manual photography on a phone. And I like to shoot in manual because I have more liberty in calibrating the photo during photography and post editing is never a deal breaker for me. This is actually the phone for me. I just hope 4k stabilisation would improve thru some updates.

I've heard if you change the code from h265 to h264 it fixes the stabilization issue. Can you confirm this?

@@tech_edit Camera Xperia 1 is the best in detail and colors .. It also owns the camera wide angles are the best and the largest in the market .. It is also the only phones with Pixel 3, which supports camera IP2 of the third level !! You can not claim that there is a camera in a smartphone that is the best in everything !!

Ha. Thanks a lot. Its not perfect but it is a solid phone. Battery lasts longer than you think it would. If you like to be a bit different then you have made the right choice.

I'm more like to capture photo in Manual Mode to get better result..but many youtuber realy don't want to mention about this manual mode or maybe they don't know how to use it...😄

Most don't understand how much better this phones than others it's a photographer's dream with a phone connected.

I agree. But it's really for people who fairly serious about thier photography. Yes out of the camera they don't look as good as other flagships. But the level of unsharpened detail higher. And it has very good colour reproduction. If you shoot manual and like to edit your own pictures. This is a very good phone.

Damn, Sony is closing the gap! I hope they continue to make these unique form factors and buck the trendy shit. YOU DO YOU SONY! Ever since the Sony Xperia line came out I've been a fan of their unique flair and, other than the price hike, i haven't been disappointed. Just listen to the customers and continue to improve, like the same quality sensor on all 3 cams, and slightly better processing (esp on the front shooter) would make this the hands down champ. I can't wait to get back in school and learn how to create camera software processing, I'd love to be able to take what Google does and perfect it to a triple lens camera while having a gradiant slider to get the saturation and sharpness exactly where you want it with the simplest of steps with a default Auto shooter that is technically just right. I think I just have an affinity for Japanese cameras and tech in general. I've always been impressed by their culture and philosophy. I just want them to succeed so badly because I think they WILL invent THE perfect camera phone.... They are so close. The price tho, you gotta make a comparable alternative that rivals the Google Pixel 3a. Then you will be Godzilla of cars and phones. What's cooler than that?!

Yes. It delivers natural photos with excellent colour reproduction and detail without sharpening it up for you. Perfect it you want to edit the pics yourself.

great video, this is real review camera. trying to make it detail, clear explanation and pull anything possible to give best result. appreciate it. not like few other reviewer using execuse with "most people using auto" what the hell with that.. my suggestion is more example pictures if possible in next time

exclusivity deals, Sony can make more money for sensor deals with Apple or Samsung than putting them in their own phones because they know they wont sell as much.

The rumour that I heard was that Sony had to purchase sensors from Samsung as requested by Samsung in exchange of the 4K HDR OLED screen.

@@kiragiles9075 4K screens on Z5P, XZP, XZ2P were LCD screen that were supplied by Sony themselves indeed, but it is not news that Sony can't mass produce OLED screen due to technical issues and thus Sony buy OLED screens from LG and Samsung for TV and phone.

@@NicolasChanCSY Samsung has manufactured amoled for smart phones .. screen xperia 1 oled 4k .. did not hear that Samsung began to produce screens for smart phones accurately 4k !! According to some news it's from JDI industry in cooperation with Panasonic! Sony was the inventor and launched the first oled screen in the world .. But was stopped production of this type of consumer products commercial .. And has been keeping a factory for the manufacture of monter and tools in Japan. Sony Monter, which is manufactured in Japan is priced at $ 30,000 !! And is used in the content industry for professionals ... For the TV they buy screen panel only from LG, but the actual work is the image processor that is manufactured by Sony ... x1 imge processor! Best image processor certified by specialists.

I have the XA2 Ultra from last year and I'm loving it. I'm thinking of getting the Xperia 10 plus. Do you think it's a step up or should I just stick with the one I've got? Loving ur clips 👍, I've been subbed since Basil. Did he go back to Torquay lol 😂

@@thetechrealist yea. Based on Video There Were Only 3 Aspect Ratios Avaliable For Pictures and 21:9 Was Not One Of Them. I Guess 21:9 Is Only Used Entirely For Video. I Hope That This Can Change From Software Updates.

Pls just get yourself a REAL camera instead of a phone & if you already have a real camera, then most top tier phones have about the same good quality photos & it really doesn't matter

Does the phone overheat after prolonged video recording like other Sony xperia handsets? Or have they fixed this issue?

It overheats after extended use and closes the app, I had it continuously record in 4k and it stopped after the 3 hour mark, ambient temps were low also.

@@akshay5569 lol no, the Xperia 1 had a super shitty camera , the xzp even still takes more crisp images with better detail than X1 3 (which is my current phone) It's due to the fact that they downgraded the mega pixels

How many i did not look at the photos and videos from Xperia, they still. don`t impress with dynamic range and when you shoot backlight performance. Sony, until now, can not write high-quality software for their own cameras

The aspect ratio is terrible and you still have big bezels top and bottom, and camera performance isn't as good as top flagship phones...

Haha...serously??I'm so glad there's still some manufacturer keep design with those bezel up and down because lot of smartphone today in market were copy cat Iphone notch style which is very bad design for me...at least Sony put the stereo speaker at the front..

Just wish that "terrible" aspect ratio was included in their photo settings but yeah, you can't have everything.😁 As for hole punch and notch displays they will disappear soon enough into yesterday's news. While so many phone companies are trying to trump each other by catering to the public Sony's phone has kept it's eye on a futuristic design philosophy. Maybe I like it because its different and Sony travels a less beaten path.

What amazed me is that my Xperia cases arrived today and they are both not as tall as the battery case i am using for my Galaxy S8+. Wow!!!🤣🤣🤣 I was worried about the phone fitting in my pants but not anymore. Looks like the bezels are not that big after all.

I would much rather have bezels than a notch or hole in the screen! The aspect ratio is great to me. I've had the X1 for a week, and I love being able to use open two apps at once. It's also great for watching movies in 21:9, again with no notch or hole!
