Every now and then, we will encouter phones who tries to do something different to stand out. LG tried doing this on their modular LG G5 and the dual-screen, jet-looking, LG Wing but failed. And just a sad news that LG is quitting the smartphone business and will start focusing on other things. Thanks LG!
But there are some companies that are doing these things successfully. Standing out in the crowd of mobile devices. They might not have the biggest brand followers but they have the most loyal fan base for their products. Sony is known to produce great camera sensors and awesome mirrorless cameras for quite some time now and today we 're looking at their take on a professional camera first then phone.

I have this phone now, i bought it from a grey market in here in PH. Mine is a Japan Softbank variant and i agree with everything mentioned in this review. Battery is really great, Camera is great (especially when you use camera pro assuming you know how to use it and it also has auto mode), performance is amazing, the design very slim without case and you can forget about dongles because Sony brought back it 3.5mm port in Xperia 5ii. Selfie is the only downside here, it's a bit soft and pale for my taste and fast charging is a bit of a downer too since it only supports over 20W charger (22W i guess). I bought for Php 11k or about USD 200. It ages well for a 2 or 3 year old phone. Great review btw 😊😊😊

@@GadgetRevNow well it should, i am using DITO sim on it..calls and text works as well as data connection. Haven't tried other networks yet other than DITO and Globe..

You have to be really confident with manual control to drive this. I think its a better video recorder.... but its just me hehehe ♥️♥️♥️

ohhh that a sweet deal. I didnt get anything free but Im happy. Another photographer here so I love the manual camera experience of this phone. Yeah, there are no artificial bokeh but it is what it is. Embrace and work on the strengths & weaknesses.

Thanks! can you do a camera shootout with the 5 ii vs pixel 5 and again vs 6a. and also compare battery without gaming/benchpress (as these two drain the battery to fast and most people dont do these two things so it wont reflect a honest full day battery usage)

Great review! If I want to put the phone in a gimbal, will it press the buttons on the side? There are too many buttons on the right side, for that reason I am not sure if to buy it or not

Yeah you can use gimbal. Gimbal has soft rubber that holds it and also prevents sudden button press

If you like to shoot manually on camera go fo 5ii if you want everything auto, V60.

Hmmm, Im bot sure about USA but here in Canada its works for every cell network but not Freedom/Shaw. depends on the band.
