I knew this 2 weeks ago. Like not only will it crash servers, it crashed a friends of mine's PC. For reference, a computer with an RTX 4090 and 32 gb RAM. They have to fix this.

Sounds like there may be some sort of memory leak in the game. Slowly eating avaliable memory until it just runs out of space and crashes.

Honestly it's infuriating that the Overwatch team acknowledges that game crashes cause leaver penalties, and their stance is basically "sucks to be you". The ultra-sweaty obsession with leavers causes collateral damage, the game ought to be doing its best to detect crashes and forgiving disconnects that are caused by them, a few per season, at least.

Wild Rift gives you points back for playing thru the match. I think you should get a loss guard once someone leaves at the very least so if you lose it’s just a waste of time at worst. Giving away points feels horrible and you’re not even given compensation. That’s the worst gaming experience possible other than having a trio of throwers who then report and successfully ban you lol

dropping to 200 fps from 400 fps is a crazy difference though. similar to how you would feel dropping from 60 to 30. it feels super off even if the 200 is a high value for most people

I had a game when mauga was first in ranked, last point of route 66 it was a maugga v mauga matchup, they bothed popped their ults, one got kiri ult, one got nanoed and some random hanzo shot his ult and the server instantly went down, no prior lag no nothing just instantly down.

In a push match, I ulted as mauga, the enemy mauga ult, our sym and Ana ulted their mei ulted all at the same time, causing the server to crash and restart the match as a but now in control point

every server i've seen crash definitely happened near a mauga ult. and my game has crashed twice unrelated to mauga, just for no reason. it's been really bad - consequences of the entire development team consisting of newer faces rather than experienced ones

@@norskbjorn8484 Like regardless, The visual difference between them realistically is barely noticable, its exceedingly difficult for the human eye to discern differences past 200+ fps simply due to how quickly our optical nerve/brain can even process input into perception
