I get the feeling that Faceshopping is really about the importance of reclaiming one’s right to transform oneself, from physical modifications or to abstract re-orientations of the self. See, us people who don’t fit into society’s categories of what is normal have always been chastised for not following the mold; as if our very existence is a violation, something incorrect and deplorable.
