#pwhlinterview with Sarah Nurse at the second intermission. Sarah took a very hard knee on knee from Sophie Jaques. There was no call on the play. Sarah would continue the game.

She’s tough and battle tested. Played in many tournaments and big games. This won’t keep her down too long

She’s taken some brutal hits into the boards this year and it amazes me how she just gets back up is out there next shift. Was really worried here but once again she managed to shake it off! Nurse is one tough customer that’s for sure

Considering the joke penalty calls they were calling on Toronto (esp. the third period tripping call) those refs last night were horseshit and glad we didn’t get fucked out of a win… just don’t want players hurt

The reffing in the playoffs has been pretty brutal. I don’t understand what happened because it was pretty consistent throughout the regular season with the odd bad call here and there. But they have missed so many really obvious ones, and have called others that shouldn’t be penalties at all.

Hockey is a physical game. If You can’t the heat stay out of the kitchen. You give some,you get some, Sarah is not a dirty player.

I don't like to see it, but doesn't Toronto have the most misconducts or majors?

I can only think of two off the top of my head, what are you referring to?

i was trying to find numbers but no luck so hard to back that up.. I think some of the women could benefit from a how to bodycheck (give and receive) school.

@@michaelnextdoor8726 I know Ottawa did one for sure. I think the other teams have done some sort of clinic because the way the player are receiving hits changed dramatically about 10 games into the season

I'm sure Joc Larocque or Renata Fast will have that filed away for game 3.

@@pdubcentral Even though Joc has mellowed quite a bit these last 3 years the good old 😇bad old 👹Joc can still put in an appearance when needed😂. and Renata is no powder puff either [ just ask Hanna Bilka 😂] I well remember the time Joc sorted out Hilary Knight very quickly [ USA V Canada ] .

unbelieveably dirty hit. She has every opportunity to get her clean and she ducks under her torso and goes leg to leg. SUPER DIRTY
@pdubcentral26 күн бұрын
Yeah I’m surprised. Jaques is one of my favourite players actually and this was just not a good hit in any way and clearly took Sarah’s knee out and it could have been way worse. I was shocked she came right back out next shift. No word on any supplemental discipline yet. But they have issued stuff after games even when there was no penalty on the original play so guess we’ll wait and see.

@@pdubcentral luckily it was straight hip to hip instead of to the knee, you’re right it could have been way worse.

@@rileystone3017 absolutely not; Nurse tries to avoid the hit at the last second when she realizes it’s coming by turning away. But Jacques had every ability to hit her square on here but she literally ducks under the body of Nurse to avoid it. She actually turns in the same direction as nurse but more which doesn’t make any sense of she’s just trying to hit clean. If that were the case Jacques would have ended up clipping Nurse on the other side, the side Nurse was turning away from.

Nurse took out Marie Phillipe Poulin with an uncalled major. Poulin was out for weeks and hasn't been the same since. The perp should be out of the league. Filthy plays because you can't beat the competition fairly? Refs slanting calls to favor the biggest fan base? I am not buying into this league anymore until they take the ethical and moral high ground that is deserved by the vast majority of the professional players, and their trusting fans.

There great friends and team Canada team mates... I doubt she would try to hurt MPP
@janedough999320 күн бұрын
You're commenting on a play you clearly haven't watched. The hit was deliberate, avoidable and caused MVP MPP to miss weeks doing what she loves and what she excels at. This was not the action of a friend, nor the behaviour of a supposed role model.
