SIMPLE Trick to Make A RUCHED FONDANT CAKE with Pleated Fondant Sails | Flexible Edible Feathers

In this cake decorating tutorial I show you how to make a simple ruched fondant cake with pleated fondant sails and edible flexible feathers and lacing. This cake came together pretty quickly besides the decorations that needed to dry over night. Hope you enjoy!

tulle recipe= 1 1/2 sheets 0 grade wafer paper, 10 ml cold water, 1/2 tsp food grade glycerine. Now remember that this is still a recipe that may need tweeking:)

Mary I feel you 💯 percent on preparing more of everything than not enough. I've been there and cried because in my ignorance I didn't write down the amount of color used in the frosting, how I survived is a miracle 😅. Love your work and your clear instructions. Youre the best.

I use Satin Ice most of the time. I prefer the homemade, but I dont usually have time to make it.

Mary may i know your Chocolate ganache ratio , coz my ganache never hardens , even if i keep it in fridge overnight, once it's out of d fridge it gets sticky ,can u tell me why is it please?

I like to do 2 to 1. But sometimes, in humid weather, I might bump it up to 2.5 to 1. You might want to try a butter ganache. It hardens way faster than a cream based and tastes yummy, too;)
