How do you firm up the buttercream? You said to add buttercream.... that doesn't make sense. Do you mean powdered sugar? Also, what did you put on the letters before frosting?

So, use edible glue to wrap around buttercream icing. ? And just use buttercream to basically glue /stick onto sides when used as drape for the fabric? Correct.?

Another fabulous cake. Here in Australia there are areas of desert that look very similar. I’d go for the sprinkled flowers - but just a little more of them.

Normally I would say more flowers but I think in this one the less is more. I find it makes me think more of the desert. Beautiful My favorite cakes are inspired by geology.

Brilliant idea. Always love seeing what your making, but I love geology and this was very exciting for me, Plus cake decorating! Fantastic execution!!!! I understand why your husband said the less flowers. It shows your inspirations from the beginning. The colors of those rocks, the few flowers you saw. It was the scene of Utah. Happy Anniversary.
