Ephemer lives? Sora's new role? We've known for awhile that Kingdom Hearts was far from over, and thus so is Sora's Journey. How exactly is it gonna play out from here on....I wonder

Sora being the reincarnation of Ephemer could make senses considering Ventus's heart reached out to him. Ventus knew Ephemer, so it could work in theory.

I’m more inclined to believe that Eraqus transferred his heart into terra like xehanort as opposed to being reborn, also I thought it was xehanort who dealt the final blow to eraqus since In the scene he goes “my own heart is darkness” and then we see him die and the blow came behind eraqus

I’m glad someone else made the connection with Ephemer. I was thinking this as well and it’s kinda supported. Player character died well before Xehanort was born so time gap isn’t a problem. We learn in KH3 that Sora has a third heart that’s been with him for a very long time. Xion’s common form resembling Skuld. Sora being able to use the Master Defender. Also as you pointed out that scene where he sees Ephemer.

@@TheNexler no the one been with him a long time was Ven , the 2 that have been in around the same time as each other would be Xion and Roxas Xion has been in Sora's heart a week longer than Roxas

@@nekogamer2508 when Ven joined with Sora’s heart, Sora was a little boy. When we see the player dissolve into Xehanort’s heart it happens when Xehanort is a baby. So I figured that an old Ephemer took Xehanort to Destiny Islands (since he reads the book of prophecies and know what Xehanort will become) if that old man who died was really Ephemer then he could’ve dissolved into Sora’s heart. I could be wrong but hey that’s the how theories go lol

I don't really think Eraqus was reborn. I always assume, Eraqus had similar to Xehanort transferred his heart into Terras, but just a little bit to guide him and held him fight against Xehanort for his body Like you can see in the Secret Episode Hidden Truths Section.

You’re right. That’s why you don’t see a heart when Eraqus disappears in BBS. In the Secret Episode of BBS, inside Apprentice Xehanort, Xehanort tells Terra, “Someone else has set foot in your heart… Eraqus, you sly fox.”

I think Ventus did see Ephemer. "Ven was with Ephemer in the Union Cross storyline. Ven's statement "It's the light from the past" validates you theory: Ephemer (light of the past), Sora (current light).

Ephemer is 100% sora reincarnated. This explains the KH3 scene where he appears as well as why sora is able to wield the keyblade in the first place. He was never bequeathed one but was able to summon the kingdom key because of ephemer being the first keyblade master as stated in the finale of khux. Also sora sitting on a throne is completely solid now because of ephemers kingly status being the creator and first master of scala as caelum. Good ass video bro props. Keep it up.

Well, not necessarily. Sora was able to weird the Keyblade, initially, because of Ventus' heart inside of him. However, through the course of the story, the Keyblade eventually chose Sora, not as it's initial option, but because it saw the strength and purity of heart that Sora posseses

The reason behind Sora wielding a keyblade is far more simple. Riku's heart gave his keyblade to Sora while he fell into darkness. That simple act granted Sora the power to use it. KH1 hints strongly at that and Nomura confirms that. Or if you don't like that, Ventus is there too (though I see him as the reason Sora/Roxas could dual wield).

It's definitely possible, but I'm not sure about all of that. The whole point of Sora's conception as a character was that he's an average guy that you could find anywhere. Nomura stated that he has connections to Ventus and many other people, but he didn't inherit anything from them.

0:35 commenting before continuing, my 1st inclination to Sora's relevance would be a relation to one of the dandelion master scattered through time just like Eraqus being grandson to one. My first thought would be Skuld buttttttt that wouldnt fit timeline as its heavily hinted at that Skuld was imprisoned in radiant garden right after her departure from data daybreak, which Sora was already a kid at that time.

I want to believe Sora is simply “za one”, the kingdom key of the realm of light chose him, probably due to his nature. In the end i think it’s messed up to be chosen. Say if the realm of light has a “heart”, it might want to sora to be the one to fix everything. Oh yeah also wants him to be the sacrificial lamp that changes reality itself, only to be sent to the other side. In the end he will fix everything! Right?… right?..

The issue here is the Kingdom Key was meant for Riku who Terra selected in BBS. Riku fell to darkness and since Ven was inside of Sora, being a pure light and all that jazz, it defaulted to the next best option. Sora was never truly chosen to become a keyblade master or even a wielder. He earned that right however after the events of the first game. We know 1,000 years ago during the first (technically the second keyblade war) in Union any child could have a keyblade because they were more closely connected to the light. After those events the Dandelions changed it and became selective about who received a keyblade. Going forward wielders we’re essentially selected and invited to become wielders and possible masters. That’s why by BBS there were 7 (Yen Sid retired but counts.) By KH 1 there are only 4 keyblade wielders in existence. Yen Sid, Mickey, Sora, and Riku (via possession at first.) By the end of KH3 we have 15 (if we include Sora who’s gone and Luxu/Xigbar.) MoM isn’t counted because he doesn’t “exist” in their existence. So saying he’s chosen is massively wrong. He is just an average regular kid who, because he opened his heart to someone in need, got pulled into a war. I can also add 90% of his powers throughout the games probably came from Ven until he himself gained his own by the end of 3.

I believe the 2nd option is possible, cause I remember Ienzo saying how Sora has multiple hearts within him. But there’s one heart that’s been there much longer - even before Ven. It’s gotta be Ephemer.

I know it's been emphasized many times that Sora's just supposed to be a normal kid, which could still be true, but I dont think the story would progress the way it seems to be going without having Sora be more than just an average joe, and this theory does make a lot of sense.

Killer content, although I am watching this a year later. What if we are all misreading the "It's a shame..." line. Although it may read as dark and ominous, what if it's not? The figure that removes the hood in the keyblade graveyard, is just Brain. (Not a hybrid version similiar to Terranort). Brain is Luxu's first apprentice. The first apprentice to take the box, black robe, and no name. We do know from the secret reports, where we who assume it is Luxu saying "Amid the chaos, I bequeathed my keyblade to one of the union leaders." He did. Luxu and Brain went off to be master and apprentice. We don't know when Luxu started body-hopping. Hopefully closer to the age of death, similiar to Xehanort. We know from the secret reports, he could fill books and books based on the times to body hop. I don't think Brain was one of the vessels. As to what the time traveling Brain in Scala is, I don't know. Unless he at some point uses the proper way (no ark) to travel worldlines. Feel free to explore and make into a theory.

Every since the book of prophecies was brought into the story I no longer believe Riku was meant to get the kingdom key originally, clearly it would of been written in the book that Sora was the user of it well before both him and Riku were born. It’s literally written and foretold that Sora will possess it

Well, since the Book of Prophecies is less of something prophecising future events but rather something that happened in front of the Gazing Eye in every moment which the Master of Master wrote down in the relative past due to being linked to it through time itself. So even if it's written in there, it's still just something that happened and was recorded, not something foretold.

If the eye has seen it and the master has written it then it is going to happen, that was the whole point of him passing on his keyblade to Luxu and why he had to play the role of an observer to the events in the future

Unless Nomura retcons it, the Kingdom Key of Light is 100% Riku's given to Sora. Considering Riku's fall into darkness is what allows Sora to wield it in the first place, all that means is that it was set in stone that Riku would fall to darkness and thus give his keyblade to Sora. Considering Riku's role that was hinted at in DDD, his fall to darkness is necessary for MoM's plans. So it could be MoM wrote the book in a way that allows for that to "happen".

No, I don't believe so. If I remember correctly, the player character in Union X sealed four of the darknesses with him, which were the ones that were going to take over the other dandelion leaders. The only dandelion leader that had a darkness in them was Ventus (that darkness later got extracted to become Vanitas)

None of the new Union leaders were meant to have a darkness, only the first union leaders, luxu, and MoM. That makes the seven, plus the four still with our character. The other two are with ventus (as vanitas) and the other one is somewhere still roaming as seen in Dark Path.

@@brycelemieux8013 Yes. iirc MoM states that there's 6 that are stronger than the rest and he had plans to put them in his Foretellers to destroy them. The plan with the rest (I don't remember if he had planned to take one on himself, so the rest of this applies to only 6) were meant to be trapped in the data world. That way when it got destroyed it'd take the Darknesses with them. 2 escaped via Ventus and Maleficent. The new Union leaders were only meant to make sure the trap happened and for the keyblades to pass down afterwards. Otherwise I don't think there wouldn't be enough, there's only 5 leaders and 6 Darknesses.

Thank you finally someone who agree that Sora being the MoM has very very low chances to happen ^^ About how Sora will still be relevant for the continuation of the saga with the foretellers if Ephemer's heart didn't reborn in his, I have my own idea. According to your video about Luxu and Ava's true roles, we know that part the MoM's big master plan to definitely defeat THE Darkness with a big D is to trap the true 13 darknesses into vessels with a strong heart (and keyblade wielders have strong hearts). But the Master of Master seems to have managed to capture only 7 of the 13, and was planning to make himself and his foretellers students the vessels for those 7. I don't remember if he ever said something about the others 6 true darknesses but I guess MoM probably planned for 6 of Ava's chosen dandelions to become the vessels needed to trap those 6 darknesses left. Am I following that right or did I make the mistak ? You've suggested that after the KH3 foretellers secret ending, Luxu probably made himself, Invi, Ira, Gula and Aced vessels of 5 of the true darknesses, and the others 2 trapped in the box are for the MoM and Ava, but the thing is ... "Ava didn't make it" Ava is no longer here to become one of the darkness vessels. So my theory is that MoM and Luxu will try to find somoene to replace her, and Sora could be this replacement they will be seeking. The word "vessel" does fit Sora in a way, he was the receptacle of 2 hearts during KH1 (Kairi's and Ventus) and the receptacle of 3 hearts since KH2 (Xion, Roxas and Ventus) until the end of KH3. And I think Sora also helped give Vanitas a more tangible physical form (and if that theory about Vanitas being one of the 13 darknesses is true, then that's not something to brush off). So yeah Sora could become a target for the MoM and the foretellers, and if not him then the 7 deadly will probably still have to search for the 6 darknesses left and choose vessels for them, and the others keyblade wielders are perfect candidates to become trapping darknesses vessels. Ventus is an obvious choice with Vanitas, there's also Marluxia and Larxene who still have yet to get their keyblades back but as ex-dandelions their fate will be linked to the foretellers. And then there's Aqua, Terra and Riku who all have a lot of experiences with the darkness and were all vessels for dark entities at some point. Sora may not have nothing to do with the keyblade war and the foretellers, but if they are trying to use his friends for their plans, he will want to defend them if he find his way back to them

I'm not certain on the specifics, but I believe the "turning into a dream eater" option is the one that only applies with the chirithy. Like he said, Ventus ended up pseudo-"reincarnating" (more like resting until his heart healed) in Sora, probably because he didn't have the dream eater option

@@provokedutensilsunited6354 what I meant by that was, at the beginning of BBS, we see him talking to baby Sora and allowing Sora to take in his broken heart and repair it, so technically, his heart "pseudo-reincarnated" from withing Sora, but in a different way that we don't really have a name for it quite yet

I highly doubt that sora is ephimere since at the end of khu it showed brain landing in scala ad caelum (probably butchered the spelling) and standing in the middle was a statue of ephimere who was the first master. Also, the reason roxas reacted to rikus taunt was simply because, him being soras nobody, he held soras memories. Also, I thought this was obvious but, the data scape is outside of time, so when one person is transferred out of the data scape, they can be sent to any point in time unless something anchors them to a certain time.

He’s not saying sora is ephemer. He’s saying that the heart of ephemer forged itself into Sora’s heart when ephemer died. This is seen with our character and xehanort and how he had the memories of us.

Honestly despite Terra actually forced to fight Eraques he did not actually kill him afterwards, didn’t kill him directly I mean.. Most likely Terra just weakened him enough for only Xenahort to deliver the final blow from behind. 🤔 But I guess which one of them who did the dirty deed is up to everyone’s perspective.

Man, I actually love this theory. If MoM takes the x blade from Sora and mimics Riku’s line that would be insane It would be a cool twist to show that pure light on its own wouldn’t be good either like in FFXIV shadowbringers if MoM uses the power of kingdom hearts to make a blindingly bright and unchanging world it’s like the argument for why a utopia is bad. Without flaws we couldn’t be human, happiness is meaningless without sadness. Which could make even MORE sense because when Xehanort stripped Sora of his light, all that’s left is rage. Rage form specifically. His darkness. But anger serves a purpose, it’s to help motivate one to act against wrongdoings. What if, despite being you know the hero of light all along, Sora becomes a sort of bringer of darkness to counteract the Master of Master’s totalitarian utopia of pure light? That was a giant ramble. But this is such a cool idea. Edit: also, the last deadly sin that’s on the box and doesn’t have a master’s name associated with it is superbia/pride. What better sin to describe someone essentially wants to hijack the universe’s divinity and become a god?

Luxu isn’t playing the masters hand. He outright tells brain he is not gonna let the innocent people die for this. And he says the master is wrong in sacrificing 13 people to kill the darkness Also the masters plans idk if it was to bring sora to Quadratum but to summon the fore tellers in order to kill their darknesses

your theory about what sora's role might be is super interesting and probably on to something, but i don't think it ties at all to sora being ephemer's reincarnation, nor does it have to IMO. also eraqus wasn't reborn, he just body hopped without taking over terra's body.

Um well Ephemer is definitely dead but Sora must have seen because of his connection to Ven and Eraqus…well that’s a bit obvious: his heart went into Terra and helped Terra fight off Xehanort. Plus in KH3 he’s see through 😶 15.4.22

OK, I swear to GOD if this is true, the I'm convinced the reason Kingdom Hearts gets a bad rap is because production can't keep up with Nomura's vision. Plus if this is true, I will be HYPED to see what they do with Sora and Ephemer in KH4. I thought before Sora was led to Quadratum because A: it was the only Unreal world he knew and B: his heart was drawn to Yozora's after their fateful fight. But it could very well *also* be Ephemer's heart was drawn to Strelitzia's, or vise versa, which would be how Strelitzia found Sora in Quadratum. But I am still hung up on Yozora's appearance. Or rather what he claims isn't his true appearance. Because even after we see him wake up in Quadratum, he looks the same. I had this theory that Sora's heart found its way into Yozora following their fight. Sora's heart found Yozora as a vessel and that's why he doesn't look right. Plus the nameless heart in The Final World says Yozora's heart was taken over by another. This could have easily happened during Sora's 7 days of sleep in Quadratum. Now this video sort of throws a wrench in that, but not quite. I'm going to stretch a bit here so bare with me. Ephemer's heart found Strelitzia's, and Sora's found Yozora's, so Quadratum just makes sense. Hell Master of Masters probably set this up from the beginning. But anyways, Sora dies, his and Yozora's hearts meet in a dream Quadratum, similar to how some characters' hearts were in dream versions of Traverse Town in Dream Drop Distance (which very well means we could POSSIBLY meet the TWEWY characters [furthering the hearts that led Sora to Quadrarum]), Sora defeats Yozora and Yozora basically becomes his own nobody, using his powers to create a vessel for himself to reside until his time comes to save Sora as is his mission.

Sora has “no reason” to fight xehanort as he is not directly affected by him. Sora is not special he is the glue that ties the important characters together

The other heart in the final world that wasn't Namine, the one Sora taught to believe, the one that help Riku get to Sora/ or perhaps Nomura is still bitter about "Final Fantasy vs 13" and this is his way of living it through kingdom hearts.😕

Maybe the fortellers and ephemer will return to fight master of masters with sora I would love to see luxu give sora his keyblade as his master keyblade or Master Eraqus gives sora the Master Defender as his master keyblade for battling the master of Masters

Possibly, but remember it's the players heart as a reincarnation.

Not technically, no. Sora and Roxas could because an entirely separate heart was introduced to the equation (Ventus), but while there's a little bit of Xehanort in a bunch of people, there's no one but Xehanort inside the man himself. His heart is the reborn heart of the player character; they're not separate. Think of it like the nobody names - they had regular people names, but when they became nobodies, Xemnas changed all the letters around and added an X. It's a similar remix to that. The player character is all Xehanort, but Xehanort isn't all the player character.

I think a hundred percent that your theory is dead on everything that he saw in the future with his gate and Hyde has to be a hundred percent accurate because there he is in the same world that the hero was in
