I have never seen a collaborative improvisation before. Really fascinating, and what a challenge to unify the piece musically. What a great experience for students and teacher alike!

The last one is the one that brings something new to the theme and flow. This is playing like a tennis game and he hit the ball with absolute accuracy but makes it his game. He did not try to impersonate Latry but to respond to him. That is a valid choice in my opinion...

Brutal playing technique for this beautiful, but agin organ and its action. I have the highest regard for this artist, but I just feel his technique is brutal.

No fussed on the full Notre Dame organ sound - those reeds sound too harsh I think. I actually prefer the third part of the improv to the others. Pálúr reduces the tension initially, whilst continuing the overall ebb and flow of the previous parts of the improv, then builds on it to form a fitting and cohesive end.

I think that this improvisation should be judged without watching who is playing, only listening to the music. It's one improvisation made by three organists, I don't think they are playing three different improvisations, in my opinion the result has a sense of unity that produces a single work, not three different works.
