Cheers mate, i do intend on making maps, lists and events for other periods, a few rules would need tweaking to suit the period but i was mucking about with a Trajan/Dacian Wars version a couple of weeks ago 👍

@@7thson726 My first thoughts was to tweak it so that most of the campaign rules only apply to the Romans. The Gauls only really have to worry about an overall moral/willingness to fight. The winning/losing from the Roman point of view would be based on pacifying Gaul before the Senate's approval rating drops too low. The moral for the gauls and the senate approval could replace the treasury mechanic.

Thats true, but also you could work in a system whereby the gauls are united but become fractured if certain things dont happen to represent the fragile alliances that had to be made 🤔

@@7thson726 that's a very good point. I'd maybe approach it one of 2 ways. The more complicated way would be to have the gallic tribes as separate armies, tracking the alliances between them and allowing extra forces based on location if you have a good enough relationship between the tribes. Or a simpler approach would be to tie alliance "points" into the gallic morale. If they have the upper hand then they have an income of alliance points that they could spend to get larger forces, or even to spring events on the Romans such as ambushes etc. If the Romans are winning then the Gauls need to expend alliance points stop their support melting away back to their villages and Oppidums.

@@rovens i would lool at tying it in with the reputation system, so the overall faction leader has to have the highest rep but if it falls below one of the subordinates they won't fight for him anymore and act independently. Perhaps they cant form hosts unless there is a clear leader of sufficient reputation to hold the tribes together. It is a period id like to do, along with about 50 others haha 😅
