i don't think that is the case, his trait is making armor/shields and engraving if im not mistaken. They have other guys to forge stuff, like Sam.

Ok... ok... ok... as soon as I got the notification I thought: whoa, this is big. When a game in its entirety gravitates around two swords, one of which was literally *made* with the shard of the other and MANATARMS makes both is... too big to comprehend. And they made them both so much akin to their in-game models. You've truly outdone yourselves, you guys. "Bravo" doesn't even begin to describe your talent. These are your masterworks. Keep up the good work and stay true to it. You deserve all the praise. Excellent.

I agree these are amazing, and these guys definitely put a lot of masterful work into these builds, but I would have to say I still think that the engraved Excalibur is some of their best work (in my opinion). I would honestly be curious what they thought was their best project...

Your not wrong xianghuas soul calibur is suppose to be jian. A chinese straight sword similar to rapiers. That sword is way too big. Great detail but a huge letdown on its proportion

Soul Calibur's shape changes depending on who wields it, so it being a little bigger here can probably be excused as it adapting to suit the style of guys who wield larger swords.

One small point of contention from me is that Soul Calibur seems a tad oversized - twice the size bigger than what is seen in the game (Soul Calibur in-game had about the same size of a Jian sword), while Soul Edge is PERFECT! My nitpick aside, you guys did a GREAT JOB!

I think this is my favorite so far. The way the organic parts and the eye pops out, and the general complexity of both builds is really impressive. In addition to that...I might have to get this game, so it's also an effective commercial for Soul Calibur VI. Damn...and here I thought I was gonna manage to not spend a lot of money on games this month...well well

It's difficult to find the right length for the perfect Soulcalibur considering (like Soul Edge) it molds itself to match the will of it's wielder and their fighting style.

Amazing craftsmanship on both swords and I'm sure it was difficult to pick these two swords out of the many imaginative weapons in all six games. The whip sword would of looked awesome, but definitely to dangerous and problematic to wield around for the demo portion at the end.

I was pumped when you guys did Divine Axe Rhitta because it was so unexpected.. Now let me say this is honestly the coolest thing you guys have made yet. Huge fan of Soul Calibur, so seeing them come to life is honestly surreal. Keep up the amazing work guys!! Now the sword you need to make happen - Gut's Dragonslayer from Berserk. I know you did his pre-Dragon slayer sword, which was complicated enough. But based on what you guys are capable of these days, I think you guys could actually pull it off. Best of luck!

A pair of guys named Peter Lyon and John Howe hand made all those swords though. Idk if there would be copy-write infringement if Man At Arms made replicas since United Cutlery holds the license for making replicas. Of course Man At Arms could go by the books and make their own concepts based on Tolkien's brief descriptions... Peter Jackson knew what he was doing when he made those movies by hiring real blacksmiths to make real blades...

Seriously, why the heck did they make it so huge? They used Xianghua's version (a jian, which is the size of a normal sword) as their basis, and yet they made it about as big as Siegfried's (which is a big ol' zweihander)! That just...doesn't make any sense to me.

yeah, no idea why they did this. Soul Calibur isn't massive, at least not when heald by Xianghua. And the blades keep shaking when used. Would be coller if it was smaller.

@@AlterFoxEast it has a real cool Color if you've never noticed. Also , it's filled with engravings , so it's extremely hard to do , besides looks cool. Also , not everything these guys make sense. They literally made swords like these in this video , they made Artorias' that nobody could even lift. Yeah...

Way too big. Xiangua is only about 4'10, and she uses Soul Calibur single handedly. The blade can't canonically be any longer than 2'6", or else it'd be unusable by it's chosen wielder.

WAY to big, they made a two handed long sword. Her fighting style is with a Tai Chi sword. It's light so she can be fast.
