The EQ is the EQ because I like a gritty, sort of faint kick and heavy clap/snare type of sound on this joint. Also, it's already noisy and dusty from the melodic parts, so I kind of had to let the percussion fall back a bit. It's all by design courtesy of Audible Doctor, mixing engineer extraordinaire.

I'm not saying that I have worked with Primo. I'm saying that he and folks like Large Pro fuck with what my producers in my crew do. I think it's kind of weird to characterize the singers on any of my song as "forced." I have worked with Akie since the beginning, so it cannot be "forced" except in the sense of the sound itself, but I think it sounds as earnest and apt as it could. Might not be your style, but doesn't invalidate it entirely. It isn't like shitty trap beats and non-rappin ass rap
