On a real level, I used to look down on tattoos when I was growing up. It had a lot to do with sheltering and just pure demonizing of the artwork permanently embedded onto the surface of one's skin. That may seem pointless to mention, but I just wanted you to know how much this song hits me hard in the chest. It makes me look back on the years of throwing tattoos on an unholy pedestal.
