Ghost Inputs is unintentional inputs when playing hammer-on sections or tap note sections. Anchoring doesn't really count towards it but stuff like what I did in Synthetic counts towards the Ghost Input count.

What's a ghost input in this context, bc i thought a ghost input was your guitar randomly activating the blue fret when you didn't press it

@@joshbutt5777 Acai has the answer you seek in the Pinned comment, but to summarize here, ghost inputs are inputs that occur during sections with hammer-ons/pull-offs or tap notes where the fret buttons are being played even if there are no charted notes for those corresponding frets. Simply put, it’s a way to measure how much a player is spamming or playing frets unnecessarily during the run of a song. The lower the count of Ghost Inputs, the less spamming a player is doing.

@@MKNerdMusic i'd just clarify one little thing. Spamming and ghosting are 2 different beasts. Ghosting is when you imput a note that isn't part of the chart (for example pressing a blue note during a RYO triplet.) Spamming is when you, well you got it, spam, by tapping much faster than what's required. You can ghost many imputs while still not spamming regardless. A good example of it is the fact playing descending quads as zigs will add to the ghost imput count
