The problem was, how they want to raise their kids. He believes in spanking, she does not. Etc. And one observation of mine: i think he's looking for a black woman or a woman with the same background as he's. Just because she was asian and not black, the first thought he kinda had was that she wanted her kids in private school...

Having different values doesnt mean one is better than the other, they're just not right for the other and that's okay. It's obvious that she wasnt really thinking long-term, cos she didnt even seem too bummed when she found out that he wouldnt date her.

I personally believe that parents should look like a unit to their kids. If one says a certain way, the kids can't run to the other and get a different answer.

I personally felt like they had a lot of chemistry, but I can see him thinking long term that their views may not always match up. I feel like they could’ve been a great match and maybe just compromised in the future about things, but it’s nice that he didn’t lead her on when he thinks he wouldn’t want that relationship long term! There are core values you can’t compromise on and I think everyone needs to find what those are for them. His is the way in which his kids will be disciplined and I think that is important. He’s right, going into a relationship with a plan for a long term thing only to compromise on something so important to you will lead to disaster. Some people go into relationships with the intent of having a family in the future and not just a for the moment thing. He seems like a guy looking for a forever thing and having such major differences in this aspect is a set up for failure.

I feel like this is one of the very few things actually the average men and women do think completely differently. Like intrinsically. To almost any man it might be shocking and interpretate a lot into it when a women is not ok with watching porn...like putting her in the extreme prudeness category or something. Watching porn is something incredibly "basic" and so so normal these days 90% of men do not even think about it. But also, you do not watch porn for the people / "actors" but just to get yourself going easily. Some women might not understand that.

@@MsDudette21 look, I got spanked when I was younger and I am fine. It did not permanently scar me at all because I am fine. It wasn't full blown abuse, but if I did something bad, I'd get a slap on the wrist or a pluck on the lips. There is a fine line between abuse and discipline. I have four siblings and we all got spanked and we are doing perfectly fine. Sometimes words do not resonate with children and spanking works. It's different for each child. When I got older, I listened. If I didn't do what I was supposed to and got yelled at, I would get my act together. When my brother got older, he did not listen and spanking was a way that got him to listen. If spanking is scarring your children, you are not spanking, but abusing them

Its really not that simple, Im sure its simple in suburbia where your biggest worry as a parent is that your kid might smoking pot, but in a country like Nigeria that is still developing, its very easy for a kid to fall in with the wrong crowd. A kid who thinks hes the boss of the house because hes been hanging out with the older kids needs to be reminded with more then just verbal scolding.

Yea. Compromising makes sense in a relationship but never on the fundamentals. I’m not saying his values are better than hers or vice versa but clearly their fundamentals are not the same. My ex was very strong willed but it also came with a price. It’s her way or the highway. For the life of me, I could never picture having kids with her despite loving her a lot as I would like to raise my kids with kindness and empathy.

Parents should learn better parenting techniques and grow up and learn how to process there emotions and stay calm and collected when angry or frustrated. Some parents throw tantrums and spank their kids and then wonder why they're kid has anger issues, throws tantrums and hits other kids at school.

Beautiful individuals. I feel like the weight of the word "date" plays too much of an emphasis on some of these decisions. Dating can be extremely casual and taken at any pace! I can understand the desire for potential long-term compatibility from the get-go, but it just seems trivial in the early stages of getting to know someone.

I felt sad towards the end when Sa'eed say he would date his 'African' Queen. Both had chemistry and I felt what he thinks may stand in the way on long terms could have fizzled out for the better for both. She is very beautiful and I love her smile and energy / personality. My guy really missed out on this one - its not that serious when it comes to the initial stages of dating. I will say that she was really into him, but I saw that the spark she had for him started to fade a little based on his answers, however she was willing to give him a try either way.

After watching about 10 SoulPancake videos, this one got me subscribed.I loved both of them!Their energies were great and the questions get more realistic as they progress.Due to romantic films, we mostly just want "that feeling" , ie the tingles and butterflies in stomach that we feel when falling in love.The word FALL itself says it all! These issues are not usually discussed until the problems occur, and it often turns out to be too late, or at least they cause a lot of problems.I appreciated his being realistic and her mature final reaction.I would love to do this with whomever I date, maybe not the first time I meet them,
