So over the last few months Soundcore have been releasing their new Motion family of speakers. And for the most part, I like these speakers, they sound good and they look very elegant. But personally I would hate to take either the Motion X600 or Motion X500 on the go with me cause I would hate to get their metal bodies scratched. But now, Soundcore have released their new Boom 2 which gives you a lot of sound at a much more affordable price, I feel that its easier to travel with this speaker, plus theres a decent light feature as well. So lets see what the Soundcore Boom 2 is all about and lets see if this is the must have speaker for summer 2024.

Boom 2 shocked me, when you feel it for the first time you think it’s going to sound flat and cheap. But it hits hard for such a great price it’s honestly a no brainer. Try two of them and you’re set for outdoor bbq’n and small gatherings

Nice review, but there was one important future you forgot to mention, and that is partycast 2.0 this is the button next to the bass up button. You can pair up to 100 partycast 2.0 or 1.0 speakers together like JBL Partybost to the Boom plus Rave Neo 2 etc

Not much into bass. How is x600 compared to boom 2. I use it for movie or general use. Here in Sg boom 2 is jus 60$ more than x600. Help me choose one.

The x600 is more spacious but for higher listing volumes are definitely go with the boom 2 with deeper bass and a more accurate signature with a lot less potential distortion

I just purchased the W-KING X20. I’ve done literally any & everything I can trying to get decent bass out of it. It’s just not happening. With the $95 coupon bringing the price down to $225, ok I get it. I just don’t see these speakers moving very much at the suggested retail price of $319.99. For $350+, you can go on online & purchase the JBL boombox 2 & or 3. I own the Boombox 3, & personally I can tell you that the Boombox 3 is a much better speaker.

The Boombox 2 and 3 are both great speakers however the X20 is really good for the money, you have to use bass boost and custom eq to get the most bass then tune the overall soundstage because the treble gets lowered quite a bit, the Boombox 3 is better in sound but not a overall speaker. The Boombox 2 I would get if it's on sale and you're already in the Partybost,Partycast ecosystem

@@TheAscendedTechNinja I was thinking about returning it & getting a refund, but I think I'll keep it & use it as an outdoor speaker only. It doesn't come with a power cord anyway. I use my JBL Boombox 3 indoors only. It sounds the best inside & I paid too much money for it to risk damaging it outside. The one thing that really annoys me about the X20, is that you have to use the bass boost to get legitimate bass out of it. It muddies up the mids too much. Sounds like the center frequency is at 70HZ or higher, when it should be between 40 - 50 HZ.

@jedolivier2688 The Boombox 3 bottom is going to start peeling off regardless, but you may get lucky and not have the bottom rot as fast as mine, but it's low to upper treble that gets effected, this is one of my eqs. Starting from 30 Hz bar to 16K 6,6,2,0,1,0,1,1,1,1 this one with the bass boost doesn't get too bright often or it's not too dull but I'm still playing around with it

@jedolivier2688 np, I'm making reviews on the X20 and Bang Max soon with a short comparison between the other Boomboxes as well, the X20 also has a aux out port so you cN use it witjcthe Boombox 3 if you want
