I went with the Q35s…I have to fight my inner audiophile 😄. The purpose of these headphones is for work, while I telework. Drown out family noise, and attend telecons while minimizing noise. I use an iPhone. My old soundcore headphones (that I originally bought for my wife) finally broke. Even though they costed less that $85 I was really impressed with the cups, ease to use, mic quality, and noise cancellation. I’m not 💯 sold on the Q35s yet…I mess the soft cushion cups, the noise cancellation seems to be about the same, and my Audio tends to pause infrequently due to the AI features. I also miss the chunky on button 😆. They are still brand new, so it will take me a bit to get used to them. On the up side, the sound quality is considerably higher than my last pair.

Does bluetooth lossless codec deliver the same hi res quality as wired mode?
@EETechReviews2 жыл бұрын
@@suhlazar This is a great question. Wired is still the best possible method for all scenarios. Any time you go wireless there's always something that can bottleneck the results, so: Best case scenario: You're using LDAC 990kbps forced in android Dev settings and your phone and headphones are in line of sight (not in ur pocket or between a wall). I expect you would not really be able to notice the difference in quality to a wired setup. Normal scenario: LDAC may have some interference between you headphones and the phone. LDAC, if forced to 990kbps may have some issues with skipping and loss of music randomly. If you have it on auto in settings, your phone would do LDAC with the lower more reliable 660kbps data rate. This would have a more noticeable difference between wired. Hope this helps. -EE Tech Reviews

Tell me if I use it with the cable in a hi-res player I will be able to do a proper equalization, because there are many people complaining about the factory equalization saying that the use of the application is mandatory.
@EETechReviews2 жыл бұрын
If you use them like any other wired headphones you can adjust with a pc based equalizer. I believe if you use it while you're wireless you're forced to the app. The app does have a relatively decent equalizer though not anywhere as good as a pc application. The only situation I haven't tried is using the headphones plugged into a pc while having ANC on and trying to use a pc equalizer app. I use my headphones at work and don't currently have them at home to test for you. I can try to reply later this week for that scenario.

@@EETechReviews Yes, I think my player has a PC based equalizer (it has at least 10 "knobs"). Hey Luz thank you. Yes, you can use a cable! I recommend that. If you use a cable for audio/PC etc, there will be no latency.
@EETechReviews2 жыл бұрын
Cable will always have slightly less latency compared to the bluetooth. I would honestly buy them through a place with a good return policy like amazon, and if the latency is too much for your preference I would return them. Personally its nothing ridiculous but pretty standard to similar ones.

I've got the Q30 and when I pair with my Win11 desktop PC using a random BT 5.0 usb adapter, I notice a sub 100ms audio delay. Any idea how to remove? Online search comes up with some generic stuff. Is it the BT adapter or the Q30 or even just windows? Thanks, very thorough review!
@EETechReviews2 жыл бұрын
Hey Morgan, thanks for watching! My rule of thumb is that you want the shortest possible path between your headset and the source of the audio (least amount of devices). Ideally its your phone to your headphones right (1 hop). The second you have to add in any extra link in the chain you add complexity which adds noise and latency to your signal. The best scenario for you would be to have Bluetooth already installed within the motherboard with its own set of antennas. Most modern laptops and desktop motherboards luckily have this. My only fix, which can be wrong, is that you would have to manually adjust the timing of the audio to offset the latency. The problem is that only certain apps have that functionality like youtube... but that isnt a real fix if you have to adjust it for every single app... The other option would be to confirm that the headphones and the dongle both have a low latency Bluetooth capability. The Q30s have Bluetooth 5 which is great but it only only supports SBC and AAC audio codecs. So the faster lower latency codes like LDAC aptx etc arent available. There are usb dongles that do have aptx amzn.to/38c1hkJ, but the Q30s wont work, and the newer Q35s have LDAC but not aptx... Hence why I'm still upset with the whole Bluetooth standards vs compatibility with every headphone/ear bud manufacturer and Apple/Android for making it so annoying. Sorry for my rant and I hoped this helped :)
