Chorus:
Here we go climbing the stairway to heaven
Here we go walking the road of ecstasy
Taking a load of the whole world off our shoulders
The door is wide open for you
The door is open for me
Uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh
Here we go stealing a moment of pleasure
You and I, we're gonna find the pirate's treasure
Here we go. Aw, aw, aw, baby
Oh baby, here we go
Climbing the stairway to heaven
Climbing the stairway to heaven
And we're going step by step together
Step by step. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah

Happy Birthday to Eddie Levert, longtime member and co-lead singer of the legendary O'Jays, born June 16th, 1942. On June 16, 2024 he celebrated his 82nd birthday. By any measure, the O'Jays are one of the most important Soul Music groups of all-time. Whether delivering funky dance music, romantic ballads, or thoughtful social commentary in song

Our black men have good moves, good voices. They wrote some beautiful sons. All the dads out there teach your sons to keep their culture, they can do wonders, please men be close to your sons, to keep your name and the black DNA. Your post is so spot on. The other day, I was reading a comment by a young man who had loaded a reaction video and he said he had never heard of the Ohio Players. Another couple didn't know at least 99% of the artists in the We Are the World video. I nearly choked when one of them looked at Diana Ross and asked "who is that?" Unfortunately, the legends are being lost to a lot of the younger generation.

Don’t nobody sleep on Walter Williams. His voice is just as beautiful but with a smooth kinda tone that just feels right somehow. Funny fact when I was younger I use to listen to this everytime someone passed while crying😔. It wasn't until my best friend mom died and I played it while we were crying. She looked at me and said you know they talking about hanky panky right me😕😲😱 (she actually said the 3 letter word) anyway it was a weird slow moment because I love them their voices and the bands that play along to their songs. after hearing this a million times i realized i knew and sang the lyrics but never actually comprehended them until it was actually brought to my attention... lol...🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ but it got me through those tragic time. ❤ thank you ojays
