Every time I listen to this guy, I feel like I have decades more of practicing to go before I realize, I still have another decade to go before I get it...

If you do register an account with us we send out a newsletter each week with tutorials and other free offers as well as letting you know what's new. It's very easy to unsubscribe too if you so wish. Our company is there to empower the musicians involved so you're helping them too at the same time. We always operate a fair deal policy for our artists as we were once artists too and understand how hard it is to get a deserved slice of the pie so to speak!

Yeah I sold a 50s Les Paul for 25k. Traded a 57 Tele for my 1975 Taylor. I really miss the gold top , My old acoustics are louder but that's about it. Sometimes there is a magic in these old piece's of wood, but they sure are pricey of I had the Tele and old gold top back I would sell them again LOL Guthrie is one of the best players, well he plays so many styles so well. Peace

Well, it could be an original 1958-1960 Les Paul, if so you're pretty damn lucky 'cause nowadays it's one of the most prized guitars in the vintage market..! Look on the internet if you find the way to know what year is it from (on the back of the headstock there should be the serial number), or ask a collector/luthier you know. But most important, keep it as your priceless source of joy, and think not about your 'musical ability' and have fun, my friend!

I own a Gibson Les Paul Model with Bigsby tremolo (that is not the right word but you know what I mean), serial number 5 9077. It must be really old as I bought it as a vintage one in 1973 or 1974. I love to play it but I am not a good player like you all. I bought another Gibson Les Paul a few years ago which was new. I prefer the old one. I wish someone could tell me more about this old guitar.

Or you can go for this one, It's not too pricey and it sounds killer! The clean channel is really Fender-y, while the lead channel has got plenty of Marhall-y midrange that would marry beautifully with your Les Paul!

fyi - two mistakes your making on your website which WILL effect early sales (which are the sales which matter when anything is available for free on the web over time). 1) You don't except PayPal (those of us who wish to limit the number of sites which hold credit card info *no matter how secure you think it is* would have liked this option). 2) You must create an account on the website to buy your dvd (accepting paypal would have meant signing up is irrelevant). my 2 cents

Thanks again! I guess it is going to be a Marshall (Bluesbreaker), but I'll test the others too.

But I suggest you to go into a good guitar shop and try all the vintage- styled amps you can find, that's the only way to know what sounds better with your guitar! Hope it helps.

oh so you do accept PP ok sorry for the confusion (it would be best to state this on the buy product page - i didn't see reference to PP before the sign-in page). But signing up is a pain, would have preferred to click on the product (to buy) then simply clicked on a PP button and finally use PP checkout process (therefore uses address details already contained in the PP site). Much easier. Amazon needs you to sign up too. sorry just my preference.

Thank you so much! I am pretty sure this guitar is an original 1955 Les Paul. I wonder what amplifier you would recommend for it, so I get this real vintage sound, please no too sofisticated stuff, I like it simple like in the old days.

Having worked around, worked on, handled and sold vintage guitars for long periods of my life..... I can honestly say.... All the vintage guitar stories are just myths. The only thing special about them is that there are rich people willing to pay large amounts of money for them. Nothing more. But, its easy to fool the common guitarded guitar player. Because most have never seen a 200k Les Paul in real life, let alone worked on them and played them.

And my old Les Paul looks like the one at 0.53, the tremolo just like the one shown at 0.52. Can someone please tell me more about my beloved guitar?

Well, I don't dig sophisticated stuff much too, so if I were you I would go for a good old-styled tube amp, like a Vox combo (like the AC30), or a Marshall (like the Bluesbreaker). If you like the 'american sound' more you could go for a Fender like the Twin or the more recent Supersonic.
