For our meal for 5-6 people
To your meatballs;
2 .5 cups split bulgur with meatballs (Malatya bulgur)
2 glasses of water
1 teaspoon salt
Those who cannot find cracked bulgur for meatballs
Let them soak 2 cups of Çiğköftelik bulgur with 1.5 cups of warm water. When they are wet, they can add half a glass of flour and salt and knead them to make meatballs.
Other materials;
Half kg of spinach
2 cups black lentils (green too)
1 onion
Half a teaspoon of oil
1 tablespoon of tomato paste
1 tablespoon of chili paste
2 teaspoons of plum syrup (lemon can also be used)
First of all, let's mix Malatya bulgur with salt and water, cover it for 15-20 minutes and let it rest. Then let's knead well and roll the meatballs as in the tiny little video.
Let's set the meatballs aside and chop the spinach into tiny pieces.
Then wash the lentils and add 3-4 cups of water to it and let it cook.
When the lentils are cooked, you can strain the black water. I didn't drive so as not to lose the vitamin. Let's add enough water to the food (I used 1.5 liters) and let it boil. When it boils, let's add the salt and put the spinach and meatballs in the pot, mix them and let them cook.
While our meal is cooking, let's fry the tomato paste sauce.
In a separate pan, fry the chopped onion in oil until golden brown. Let's continue to fry by adding the paste. And add it to our cooking food.
Let's add pomegranate syrup and cook for another 5-7 minutes with the sauce. Let's serve. Bon appetit 💝
