Faf and the other Springboks play for different clubs in the Rugby World, hence the different jerseys. When they represent our country, South Africa, they use our national colours...green/gold jerseys. South Africa allows its players to play for different clubs in other countries. Other countries have different rules. 💚💛🇿🇦

When you say different clubs in other countries you mean club teams, right? It's not like SA would allow a player to play for a different national team for a game or two..:D

He is called our Giantslayer...always parades in a South African Flag Speedo...met Prince Harry,Princess Charlene of Monarco(she a South African swimmer) and Roger Federer, professional World class tennis player( his mother is South African) well he met them all in his speedo,thats our Faff,naughty,gutsy and an outstanding player...The teams in colours,thats Club Rugby...in between World Cups and other international matches...check out Faff in those speedo,he started a trend in the country since we won the previous World Cup,see how the big oakes throw him around,but he totally fearless and is very loved by our nation.

A country doesn't play matches every weekend or that often but they have test matches or other championships in a year.. so for the year the rugby players play for their respective clubs either in South Africa or overseas. But these clubs also compete against other clubs from other countries... So yes Faf does play for the Springboks...the other attire he wears is for his club when the country isn't competing in matches.

Faf use to play for the south african club the Golden Lions the moved i believe to the sale sharks in england now i believe he plays in japan for the eagles, but he is most of all a springbok who are 4 time world champs 1995, 2007, 2019 ,2023 world cups are held every 4 years at a different country this year it was in france in 2027 it will be held in Australia, the faf is currently a 2 time back to back world champion with the springboks

I have for long thought that if "Faf de Klerk" were to be an animal, he would be an "African Honey Badger".. A member of the "Ratel" family, this diminutive, vaguely comical creature with it's distinctive black and white colouring and shuffling, but rapid gait, is nevertheless widely respected by predators, in Africa. It combines a thick but loose skin, with an in-built immunity to any venom, which renders it virtually impervious to any attack. But it is perhaps it's ferocious tenacity and relentless fearlessness, in fighting any opponent which causes others, even fully grown lions to avoid where possible, confrontation with this miniaturised, "battlewagon" of the African veldt.

The beauty of rugby mentality is that size genuinely doesn't matter. When you step on the field you are there to play whether you are the biggest or the smallest guy on the team. You can't be scared of the bigger man, even when a 6'8 260lbs giant is charging at you with the ball you step up and you tackle. I'm not a small guy like Faf but damn I respect him.

All Rugby players will most likely play for a club (local or overseas), sometimes we talk about provincial rugby….examples of clubs locally would be the Stormers (which is a Cape Town based side), the Bulls (which is a Pretoria team), The Lions (which is a Johannesburg based team), the Sharks (which is a Durban side)…etc….there are different competitions take place globally all with different clubs eg the Hurricanes and so on. Then each of the rugby players pending on their performance and contract commitments (availability) with their clubs, will get called up to play for their country as when needed.

We love our faf,he does some crazy things,but that makes him special, blue is for the blue bulls,the provisional teams compete fir a yearly what we call curry cup,they take the best players from the provisional teams and form the springboks ,love your guys show,God bless

That out-bound, in-bound thing he did back there is okay in any situation as long as he throws the ball behind him, this is done to avoid a "knock foul" which leads to losing the ball to the other team if he knocked the ball on a forward pass. if he knocks the ball whilst it's behind him (towards his home stand/side) he wont get a knock foul but a continued play/play on. 100IQ moments haha.

Something you missed..... 5:45 All you saw was a tackle but it was much more than that. Remember, in Rugby, to score a Try, you must touch the ball down in goal. Noe, look at that tackle again. The attacker has managed to get the ball in goal but he does not score. That was no accident. Playing Rugby for your country is a part time job. All these guys have a day job playing for Clubs. When you see Faf in a uniform other than South Africa's that's him at his day job.

Blue jersy is the sale sharks which is an english based club where he played his club rugby, but the green and gold is for the national team south africa aka the springboks aka 4 time world champ aka back to back world cups and he plays scrum half number 9

Players in his position (scrum half) and generally the smallest players in the team, normally around 170 to 190 lbs. He is not really small for his position hut he is an unusually good tackler for his size.

That pass to himself I’ve never seen done like that, it not going out of bounds😂😂…variations I’ve seen is a player who “ throws a line out to himself when there’s no defender but to throw it up, you go outta bounds then back in to catch it has never been done before😂. I don’t even think there’s a rule that allows or disallows it, it’s never happened before 😂

In SA we have clubs and province teams. Faf started from a very young age like most boys in SA. Keep a look out for all the upcoming matches.

Make no mistake...Players have died on the field from time to time.Rules have changed to protect players,but bad injuries does happen.

All these players plays francise rugby for most of the year. . There is an annual window for international matches.. faf plays for sale sharks in england and before that he played for Lions in SA

If there was a world cup of baseball or NFL then your players would wear USA colours, but obviously also the local teams they play for. Springbok players play for clubs and only play for their country when South Africa schedule international matches.

there is CLUB RUGBY and there is WORLD RUGBY. That is his Club and play in a National League just like NBA or NFL

The blue colour represents his club colours...he plays for Sales sharks when not playing for south Africa...sales sharks is from England I think have to search that one...as do other players... They play club rugby when not playing for there country

The are other teams like on national level and then springbok colour is always gold and green but the local colours of other team that represent other province or state
