Kindly check out the rivalry war between south Africa springboks vs new Zealand all Blacks it's been on going over 100 years and the last world cup was final was south Africa vs new Zealand beat match in years , between south Africa and new Zealand combine we hold 7 world cups together that's how tough it is watch those games just to get idea how big rugby is in the world when these two countries play each other . Yes, South Africans play with passion and are physically active. However, other teams are just as physically active as the South Africans. The Tongans and Samoans are good examples. The British Lions v Boks is usually a brutal, physical battle. No one holds back. All teams have very physical players.

I really love your reactions man. The positions number 11 and 14 are called 'Wings or Wingers" in rugby and are usually the fastest players on the pitch. @@JaemanEdwardsI checked the stats for world up 2019 and here are the try tallies for NZ 36 and SA 33. Two highest try scoring countries during the world cup by far. England third place with 22. Total points scored during the world cup SA 262 and NZ 250. The overall record is 40 to 62 games after that world cup which gives NZ a 58.49% win rate. The only side to beat NZ team more consistently than any other. The second closest is Australia where NZ beat them 70.06% of the time. The rest of the top sides are above 75% which includes Ireland and France. South Africa has never really been a great touring side since 1995 and I sincerely hope they will focus on that part from now on instead of primarily world cups. That being said South Africans hold the All Blacks in high regard and disregard the vocal minority online.

And dont be confused, they don't wear a same jersey number. If the person is usually wearing 14 is not in the field someone else can wear it. The guys in number 14 with same head gear wear are Kurt-Lee Arendse and Cheslin Colby. Don't mess with them. South africa is a country and is the first rugby team that has won 4 world cups. Theres club rugby , which are teams within south africa they have their own league, and some of our South African players play for clubs in Europe and come back to play for South Africa if its international games. E.g. The World cup, or just international friendlies ❤ ps. We just bagged our 4th world cup win last year, against our biggest rivals The All Black, who have 3 world cups wins. The scrums equivalent to american football would be a lineup just before a hut, but instead of individuals pushing each other both teams are interlocked and have to push the other line of players away while the football is on the floor in between them. Both teams are competing for the ball purely on strength and technique.

You said American Football and Rugby are "little different rules wise". Mate, an average professional American football game lasts 3 hours and 12 minutes, but if you tally up the time when the ball is actually in play, the action amounts to a mere 11 minutes. 11 minutes! A rugby match is sometimes 1hour and 40 minutes long (including a 10 minute break at half time) but the ball is in play for AT LEAST 1hour 20 minutes. Comparing Rugby to American football is like comparing MMA fighting to building a snowman. The rules of Rugby and NFL are nothing alike, different games. AFL players couldn't last 2 minutes in a rugby match. FACT!

When you ask what is happening, it is a scrum. That is a method of restarting the game after an infringement. From this developed the line of scrimmage in NFL, yes American Football derived directly from rugby! Think touchdown, in NFL you don’t have to but in rugby you still do. American Football is totally different from rugby, one is a series of short plays to gain yards and the game stops after a tackle etc. The other, rugby, is designed to be a continuous flowing game where a tackle doesn’t halt the game and you can compete to gain the ball and launch your own attack. You need to watch a video of the laws of rugby which will tell you so much.
