Usually non-Irish born residents can only get a foot in the property market after 7 years of residing in Ireland (providing youre looking to buy in the location youve been in for 7 years), to give locals first dibs. How have you guys managed to Jumpstart this so soon, lucky fishes!? My hubby and I aspire to buy a fixer-upper with land and build a tiny too, but assumed we'd have to wait 7 years or so!

Great start to 2023. I have a couple of random thoughts: 1) During the time of the Troubles the border to Northern Ireland border was a scary affair with with machine gun nests and concrete barriers. 2) I notice you like Settlers of Catan. We love Settlers in our house but we got a new game over Christmas called Seven Wonders that is similarly accessible and similarly good. Highly recommended.

You have a lovely home. And congrats on being (provisionally?) accepted for mortgage clearance in Ireland! And in Foxrock, of all places! (Check out the Ross O'Carroll-Kelly books...) My brother and his wife are going through the same process and it doesn't seem to be straightforward, even if you have well-paying jobs, savings etc. Kade seems to be morphing into a Paddy, if his choice of Whiskey and breakfasts means anything ;) BTW there are no border checks on the island of Ireland, this was a big feature of the Brexit debate in recent years.
